Riley Gaines: ‘No woman should have the freedom to end the life of a developing child’
American political activist and swimmer Riley Gaines shared her pro-life stance in a post on X on Sunday in response to a pro-abortion post from Vice President Kamala Harris.
In the original post, Harris seemed to double down on the new pro-abortion keyword ‘freedom’ when she shared a video from abortionist Dr. Sarah Traxler along with the statement, “Every woman in every state must have the freedom to make decisions about her own body. I am proud to stand with Dr. Traxler and health care providers across our nation in the fight for reproductive freedom.”
"Reproductive freedom" is such misleading verbiage. Every single woman has the freedom to reproduce if they are capable and choose to do so. What no woman or human should have the freedom to do is prematurely end the life of a developing child.
Every woman in every state must have the freedom to make decisions about her own body. I am proud to stand with Dr. Traxler and health care providers across our nation in the fight for reproductive freedom.
Gaines shared Harris’ post and wrote, “‘Reproductive freedom’ is such misleading verbiage. Every single woman has the freedom to reproduce if they are capable and choose to do so.
“What no woman or human should have the freedom to do is prematurely end the life of a developing child.”
In the video shared by Harris, Traxler stated that she is the chief medical officer for Planned Parenthood North Central States and recapped the visit her clinic received from Harris. “We were so grateful for her visit and her leadership and determination to highlight the importance of reproductive health and the fight for reproductive freedom.”
She added, “Nine months after the Vice President visited our clinic, access to reproductive health care remains under attack. But we remain committed to our patients, to providing them care with dignity, and to uplifting their stories. ”

Live Action News reported in 2023 that the pro-abortion marketing plan had switched gears from terms such as “pro-choice” to “freedom.” Even NARAL Pro-Choice America rebranded itself to ‘Reproductive Freedom for All.’
The term “pro-choice” was successful for decades because American’s value the idea of choices and don’t want to be accused of taking away someone else’s “choice.” By framing abortion as a “choice” (and hiding the victims), abortion advocates were able to convince Americans that abortion was about nothing else but someone’s “choice” to parent or not parent.
Now that “choice” has been given to the people by way of state governments following the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization overturning Roe v. Wade, describing abortion as a “choice” no longer works to the advantage of abortion advocates. A new propagandistic message was necessary for the abortion industry.
Americans love freedom, but the very act of abortion ignores the freedom of every human being in the womb to live out their own life. Freedom cannot be used to oppress other innocent human beings. That’s what abortion does – it oppresses preborn human beings to death.
