Witnesses claim young Hispanic teen taken to abortion facility by ESL teacher

Pro-life advocates outside a North Carolina abortion facility say they witnessed a young girl — who appeared to be Hispanic — being escorted into the facility by an older white woman. Later, upon investigation, the pro-lifers appeared to confirm that the woman is the young girl’s teacher.

Operation Rescue reported that the pair was spotted on December 3rd, outside A Woman’s Choice of Raleigh. When the sidewalk advocates called out to the two of them, the older woman began ushering the young girl away from the pro-lifers.

An hour after entering the abortion facility, a fire truck and ambulance arrived, with the girl taken out on a stretcher, followed by the older woman.

While it was impossible to determine who the young girl was, the pro-life advocates noticed the older woman had a Cary High School bumper sticker on her car, and began investigating. They found the woman’s photo on the school website, where she appears to work as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher. The pro-life advocate then visited the high school, met with the assistant principal, and spoke on the phone to the principal. They all confirmed that the woman in question was, in fact, the ESL teacher.

The principal said the teacher claimed the girl at the abortion facility was not one of her students, that she did not undergo an abortion that day, and that the injury requiring an ambulance was not abortion-related. It’s impossible to verify any of those details. However, North Carolina law requires a parent or legal guardian to give written consent before an abortion can be committed on a minor child.

Without the young girl’s parent or guardian there, an abortion could not legally have been committed on the girl.

“What we do know is that this ESL teacher chose to take a girl to an abortion clinic that day instead of a doctor’s office or pregnancy center,” Sarah Neely wrote for Operation Rescue. “And when offered more life-affirming options from the sidewalk, this teacher actively tried to prevent the girl from hearing them. Was that support or coercion?”
