Justin Bieber and wife Hailey announce first baby in Instagram post

On Thursday, Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey announced on both of their individual Instagram accounts that they are expecting their first baby. The couple wed in September 2018.

Hailey shared what appears to be a video of a vow renewal ceremony. She is seen wearing in a white lace dress and head covering while cradling her baby bump. There are also photos of the couple together highlighting the baby bump and audio of Justin singing. The caption on Hailey’s simply tagged Justin and Justin’s caption simply tagged Hailey.

Justin and Hailey (Baldwin) Bieber were both raised by pro-life parents and Justin has made pro-life comments himself, though Hailey recently shared her support for abortion giant Planned Parenthood.

In 2012, Justin’s mother Pattie Mallette told TODAY’s Katie Lee Gifford about the difficult circumstances she faced as a pregnant teenager. She had suffered from sexual abuse, and the trauma of that led to a suicide attempt. “I was in a depression,” she said, “and the drugs and alcohol kind of spurred that on some more.”

At age 17, she became pregnant with Justin and faced pressure to abort him. “I just knew I couldn’t,” she said. “I just knew I couldn’t. I just know I had to keep him. And, do the best I — you know, I didn’t know how I was going to do it. But I just knew that I couldn’t — I couldn’t abort. I had to do my best. I had to see what I could do. And I was determined to do whatever it took.”

In 2011, that now-famous baby boy Justin shared his thoughts on abortion with Rolling Stone. “I really don’t believe in abortion,” he said. “I think [an embryo] is a human. It’s like killing a baby.”

Hailey’s father, actor Stephen Baldwin, has voiced his opinion on abortion as well. In an interview with Faithwire in 2018, he said that supporting abortion or considering yourself to be pro-choice goes against the teachings of Jesus and the Bible.

“The Bible’s very clear,” he said. “The Word never changes. […] You can’t be pro-choice and call yourself a follower of Jesus Christ. Doesn’t go together. Just doesn’t go together. It’s a fact. It’s a simple common sense fact. So, anybody who hears me say that and goes, ‘Well, hey, I’m a ‘this type’ of Christian or ‘this denomination’ and in our church it’s acceptable,’ I’m just going to say, ‘Well, whatever they’re teaching you according to God’s Word that has allowed you to believe that, is incorrect.’ It’s very simple.”

He continued, “I want to appeal to everyone that can hear this right now. They have scientific evidence that shows an infant [a preborn child] at 20 weeks feels pain. In the womb, a child at 20 weeks is alive and developed enough to feel pain.”

He shared his pro-life stance in 2016 as well, when he took to Twitter to voice his “sad” reaction to his brother Alec Baldwin’s Saturday Night Life skit that joked about D&X (best known as “partial-birth”) abortion.

Hailey, however, showed her support for abortion giant Planned Parenthood in October 2023, when she promoted America’s biggest abortion chain alongside pro-abortion activist Chelsea Handler in an Instagram post.

The two wore “I’m for Planned Parenthood” shirts and the caption read, “For 107 years, Planned Parenthood has been there. From rallying in the streets for reproductive rights to being a trusted provider of sexual & reproductive health care & info – even with a critical case jeopardizing access in Texas. Proud to be in this fight with them. Join us. #ImWithPP”

The DOJ put a pro-life grandmother in jail for protesting the killing of preborn children. Please take 30-seconds to TELL CONGRESS: STOP THE DOJ FROM TARGETING PRO-LIFE AMERICANS.
