Another horrific story from a pro-abortion state. An Illinois abortionist left half of a 22 to 23 week preborn baby inside the mother's body, a lawsuit alleges. But that's only the tip of the iceberg. 🧵 1/7

Illinois abortionist sued for leaving half of baby’s remains behind in woman’s punctured uterus
An abortionist at a late-term facility in Illinois is being sued for leaving half of the baby’s body inside the mother’s uterus, and ignoring her pleas for help when she said something was wrong.
According to the Kansas City Star, the patient was a 32-year-old mother of four who traveled from Indianapolis to the Equity Clinic in Champaign, Illinois, in April of 2023. The Equity Clinic was opened after a crowdfunding campaign, with abortions committed through six months of pregnancy. Dr. Keith Reisinger-Kindle signed on to serve as the main abortionist on staff, having previously worked at the scandal-ridden Women’s Med Center in Dayton, Ohio, with Martin Haskell, the abortionist who pioneered the gruesome D&X (“partial-birth”) abortion procedure.

The woman said she was between 22 and 23 weeks pregnant (gestational ages at which premature babies have been able to survive outside of the womb), and insinuated that the abortion was not entirely her idea. “Pressure was applied — ‘What are we going to do about this?’ — in my mental space and my environment,” she stated under chosen anonymity. “The weeks were going by, and I had to consider a lot of things.”

She eventually went through with the abortion, and in the lawsuit, said Reisinger-Kindle horrifically botched the procedure. He committed a dilation and evacuation (D&E) abortion procedure, typically a multi-day procedure in which the abortionist dismembers the baby limb by limb, although some abortionists attempt same-day D&Es.
Afterwards, she said she was in excruciating pain, and she repeatedly called Reisinger-Kindle begging for help. He is alleged to have reacted callously, telling her to take Tylenol and laxatives.
“I didn’t agree with that,” she said. “It was not supposed to be that bad.”

Instead, the woman went to Community Hospital in Indianapolis, where they found he had left over half of the baby’s body inside of her. He had also perforated (punctured) her uterus. The doctors at the hospital were horrified. As the expert witness’s report stated (HT to Secular ProLife):
The patient was found to have half of a deceased pre-born human being in the right pelvis of the patient with evidence of severe and intentional trauma. The baby’s body was transected at the pelvis with no legs or feet present. Stumps of both femurs extended from the soft tissue of the torso.
The upper extremities were missing from elbow distally on both sides. The skull was crushed and no brain was present. The face was non-recognizable … there were small bony fragments in the mother’s pelvis.
“We knew from the CAT scan that she could have a perforated uterus, because you could see what looked like a human body. You could see a spine,” one of the surgeons said, adding that they found “this — baby in the pelvis. This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen at surgery and I’ve been doing this for over 30 years.”
Pieces of the baby’s skull had also adhered to the woman’s intestines.
Reisinger-Kindle had told the Chicago Sun-Times in a previous puff piece promoting his new abortion business that he became a doctor specifically so he could commit abortions.
The American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologist (AAPLOG) responded to the travesty with a thread posted on X, demanding action be taken against the abortion industry in Illinois.
“Illinois prides itself on being the country’s top abortion destination. Is this the kind of ‘healthcare’ women can expect from Illinois?” AAPLOG asked. “This mother and her baby deserve justice.”
