'DEFUND 250': 10 times women said Planned Parenthood coerced or forced them to abort
On July 4, 2026, America will celebrate the 250th anniversary of her founding — but unless Congress votes to continue banning federal Medicaid dollars from abortion providers like Planned Parenthood, July 4 will also be the day that America's most prolific killer of preborn children will see those taxpayer dollars once again pouring into its bank accounts.
Planned Parenthood deserves to be permanently defunded — and Live Action News' series, 'DEFUND 250,' plans to remind the public of many reasons why.
Many women have told stories of how Planned Parenthood preys upon the most vulnerable – helpless preborn babies and women who have been both coerced and physically forced into abortions – while it rakes in hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars each year. Planned Parenthood’s latest annual report from 2023-234 revealed a record-breaking number of abortions — 402,230 in a single year, while it received nearly $800 million taxpayer dollars.
Women report having been coerced by Planned Parenthood staff, and some even report that they were physically forced to have abortion procedures by staff.
Some say nurses and doctors physically held them down as they screamed.
Other women say Planned Parenthood staff teamed up with coercive boyfriends to ensure that their abortions took place agains their will.
Live Action interviewed former Planned Parenthood facility managers, including Ramona Treviño, who exposed how Planned Parenthood puts profit before care, claiming, "Planned Parenthood treated women like cattle." A gut-wrenching Google review similarly compared Planned Parenthood Ventura Health Center in Ventura, California, to an animal slaughterhouse, with the women “Like cattle being marched [through].” The review continues, “Pain was SEVERE yet they kicked me out hurri[e]dly to make room for the next.”

A bombshell New York Times article published last year and featuring testimony from Planned Parenthood employees revealed that Planned Parenthood facilities rush women through 10-minute appointments in order to see as many women as possible. NYT painted a picture of Planned Parenthood’s factory-like operations, quoting a former Planned Parenthood nurse in Minnesota named Grace Larson, who claimed, “Clinics were operating like a ‘conveyor belt’ for patients.” Online reviews published by alleged former and current Planned Parenthood employees echo these claims, with multiple reviews referencing the “10-minute” appointment slots.
Julianne, Aimee, and Jeanne were all coerced into undergoing abortion procedures at Planned Parenthood, according to their stories posted at Silent No More Awareness.
Julianne claimed the Planned Parenthood nurse with her wouldn’t allow her to see the ultrasound. When she was lying on the operating table, she changed her mind about the abortion, but the Planned Parenthood staff allegedly ignored her request for them to stop. She said:
“The next moment, I felt a gas mask going over my face. I remember struggling as I understood what was happening to me. I awoke a few minutes later, and my first thought was, ‘I hope they didn’t kill my baby.’ I cried out and asked if they had done the abortion, and of course they had. My grief was overwhelming. So was my shock, anger, and betrayal.”
Aimee also allegedly changed her mind about the abortion on the operating table. According to her account, Planned Parenthood staff physically forced the abortion on her:
“I tried to close my legs, but they were spread against my will. They said I was fine and continued the vacuum tube was put in my vagina and the vacuum turned on. I said I wanted to run away and save the life of my baby. They ignored me, I was semi sedated."
Jeanne went to a Planned Parenthood facility with her boyfriend for an abortion. She became overwhelmed with emotions about the abortion, but allegedly her boyfriend and the Planned Parenthood staff paid no attention to her concerns. When she tried to get up and walk out of the abortion facility, staff stopped her, and they and her boyfriend coerced her into having an abortion.
The following review of Planned Parenthood West Hartford Center in West Hartford, Connecticut, alleged that Planned Parenthood staff performed a traumatic abortion on the author when she was 17 years old. She wrote:
“Instead of stopping to check on me, they held me down and held my legs open. I’m 21 now and luckily for them, the statutes of limitations for a lawsuit has passed so I unfortunately can’t really sue, otherwise I’d absolutely sue the life out of them and own this clinic. I still suffer from PTSD to this day and I’m in therapy for it.”

The pro-life organization Save the Storks shared the story of another woman who allegedly had a forced abortion at Planned Parenthood after telling the staff she didn’t want to go through with it. According to the story, the woman had an ultrasound before the abortion, but the sonogram screen was turned away from her so she couldn’t see her baby. On the abortion table, she began to cry:
“They asked me what was wrong, and I told them that I did not want to do this. I had changed my mind…
The doctor began to tell me that I didn’t need a baby and that I had my whole life ahead of me.
I began to cry harder, and they strapped me down. I asked them to please unstrap me and let me leave. The anesthesia was administered, and I fell asleep to the sound of their laughter. When I woke up, I was hurting physically as well as emotionally. All around me were the sounds of other women sobbing.”
A woman, identified as Megan Wohlers on Google, claimed she was not only pressured into taking the first abortion pill (mifepristone) at Planned Parenthood Metro Health Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, but was also told by Planned Parenthood staff that there is "no abortion reversal pill" – a false claim. Fortunately, she revealed that she was able to save her baby using the 'abortion pill reversal' process (progesterone):
“I got pressured into making a decision and was lied to that if I took the first abortion pill, there’s no ‘abortion reversal pill.’ I took the first pill and regretted it. I didn’t take the second pill, and I got on progesterone, and my baby is developing fine.”
Another woman, identified as C AM, similarly reported saving her baby after being pressured to abort her baby by Planned Parenthood staff in Yuba City, California.

Lavonne Wilenken worked as a nurse practitioner at a Planned Parenthood clinic. She shared some anecdotes about her time at Planned Parenthood in the book "Bad Choices: A Look inside Planned Parenthood" by Douglas R Scott. In one anecdote, Wilenken describes what happened when an underage girl scheduled for an abortion changed her mind at the last minute:
“The counselor left hurriedly down the hall and I followed to see exactly what was going on and what I saw in the hall was the counselor, a 17-year-old girl and her aunt, dragging her into the room as she was hollering, ‘No, I don’t want to go! Please don’t make me! Please don’t make me do this! I really don’t want to do this!’
They very hurriedly shoved her in the room where the procedure was to take place and slammed the door and the counselor came out afterwards with a sort of a peaceful smiling look on his face, and I knew what had happened. I knew that they had aborted her against her will.”
In her story for the Silent No More Awareness campaign, Emily claimed that Planned Parenthood staff assisted her parents in forcing her to undergo an abortion:
“It was decided by my parents that I would have an abortion. I claimed I wanted to keep my baby, but I was taken to the abortion clinic against my will. I asked for help from the staff at Planned Parenthood and stated that I was not there willingly when counseled.
To my surprise, my cries for help fell upon deaf ears. No one came to save me. I was degraded by the adults there and was told that I was acting like a child.
During the ultrasound, I heard my baby’s heartbeat loud and clear. Halfway through my ultrasound I stood up and ran out of the room and found myself up against a door. That is the last thing I remember aside from waking up in the recovery room.
I imagine that I was drugged to keep quiet. The staff at Planned Parenthood were concerned that I would scare the other women there preparing for their abortions.”
In the book, "Shout Your Abortion Too," a woman named Katie shares her story of coerced abortion and abortion trauma at the hands of her boyfriend and Planned Parenthood workers.
According to Katie’s account, she and her boyfriend went to Planned Parenthood for a pregnancy test, which was positive. While there, the Planned Parenthood worker allegedly asked them what they wanted to do about the baby. Katie said:
“My boyfriend spoke up, quickly and firmly, with one word, ‘ABORTION.’ It was the first time that word had been spoken between us. The counselor did not ask me if I agreed, or if we wanted any other information regarding what kind of support would be available to us if we decided to move forward with the pregnancy, nor did she mention the option of adoption.”
A few days later, Katie’s boyfriend called and made an appointment for an abortion; Katie called and canceled it. She didn’t want an abortion, and she argued with her boyfriend. She said his responses to her questions about keeping the baby or adoption “became more desperate and threatening.”
He even said he would kill himself if Katie didn’t abort the baby.
When Katie relented and went to the abortion appointment, she saw her baby on the ultrasound and was shocked to notice the baby’s beating heat. Allegedly, Planned Parenthood workers had turned off the sound so she couldn’t hear the heartbeat.
The abortion workers didn’t give Katie a moment to object to the coerced abortion. They allegedly rushed her from the ultrasound room into the abortion room and didn’t give her a chance to stop to think.
"Nobody acknowledged the tears streaming down my face,” Katie wrote. “No-one stopped to ask if I was sure about what I was about to do."
In a video published at StopAbortionCoercion.com, former Planned Parenthood of Arizona health center administrator Mayra Rodriguez accused Planned Parenthood of coercing women into abortions.
"So basically, we trained the staff to upsell abortion’ to meet abortion quotas,’ Rodriguez claimed.
She also emphasized that Planned Parenthood trained staff to mislead women into having abortions, because, she said, "It's easy money." She recalled how one of the abortionists at the Planned Parenthood facility where she worked allegedly decided to start an abortion on a woman after the mother decided she wanted to keep her baby, then lied about it. Rodriguez said:
“... I got to witness, or heard the statement from staff telling me, 'Hey the patient in the room asked the doctor to stop and he didn't.' He said, 'Nah, it's too late, I've already started' and he had not even started."
A Google Review from a woman identified as J Reed, reported a horrific incomplete abortion experience at Planned Parenthood Comprehensive Health Center in Overland Park, Kansas, that landed her in the ER. She claims the Planned Parenthood staff didn’t stop the abortion when she screamed and cried for them to stop:
“Once the abortion started I started to notice something didn’t feel right the further they kept going. I said something. She kept going.
It wasn’t until I screamed and started crying for them to notice and all the doctor told the nurse to do was to inject me with more medication while they continued to do it… After 4 days I notice[d] huge blood clotting and excessive pain. Felt like I was giving birth. Went to the emergency room to find out that they did not do things proper and I will now undergo another surgery.”
These horrific and heartbreaking stories portray Planned Parenthood not as a compassionate and legitimate healthcare provider, but as a callous corporation that kills babies and harms women, including young girls.
It is time to defund Planned Parenthood.
