Sister sings ‘we’re blessed to have you’ in original song about brother with Down syndrome
A young Irish woman from Carlingford, New South Wales, has written an original song about her brother, who has Down syndrome, and the video has gone viral.
Leah Kirwan became known in 2015 after she filmed a video of herself and her little brother Noah singing a rendition of Sia’s “Titanium.” But her new song is about the blessing that her brother has been to her family:

According to the Charlotte Lozier Institute, “it is estimated that abortion following a prenatal diagnosis of DS results in a 30% reduction in overall DS births.” Lozier also notes that “a 2012 publication in Prenatal Diagnosis, their research calculated a weighted mean across the U.S. of a 67% termination rate following prenatal diagnosis” of Down syndrome.
