‘Conceiving Crime’ podcast to highlight shocking stories about ‘all things human reproduction’

On March 12, 2025, Live Action will launch a new audio podcast, telling the stories of shocking crimes (actual crimes and crimes against the human person) involving abortion, birth, human reproduction, and more. Hosted by Live Action’s Sami Parker, the series will explore “crimes not just against life, but against our very ability to create new life,” according to the series website, ConceivingCrimePodcast.com.

Episodes will include “The Demon Midwife” (an account from 1940s Tokyo, Japan, involving a “national scandal with far-reaching legal consequences and an unlikely criminal mastermind”), “A Father’s Instinct” (the story of a woman and her husband who were traumatized after the use of artificial reproductive technology went very wrong), “The Forgotten Patient” (the tale of a fateful 911 call and a woman’s preventable death), “2411” (the story of a shocking and gruesome discovery on the property of a controversial public figure), and many more.
