Pro-life photographer asked for stories of choosing life… and the response was amazing
Pro-life photographer Angela Forker’s “After the Abortion” photography series has been sharing stories of abortion regret for years. It features both women and men who either freely chose or were pressured into abortion, and how abortion has not just ended the lives of their children, but also negatively impacted their own lives and mental health.
On January 18, in honor of Sanctity of Human Life Week, Forker asked her followers to share their stories of choosing life in difficult situations, and they did not disappoint.
Women who have become pregnant due to sexual assault are often pressured to abort rather than parent their children or place their children for adoption. Women who have had abortions after rape have expressed deep regret. One woman shared with Forker how she chose life for her baby conceived in rape, while another woman shared that she herself was conceived in rape.

More than 60% of women who have undergone abortions have said they did so under pressure. These women stood up to that pressure and welcomed their babies instead.

A 2014 study found that 45% of women who abort their babies have already had at least one previous abortion. Yet many women who undergo an abortion had such a heart-wrenching experience, they know immediately they will never choose abortion again.

Abortion advocates continue to tell women that they cannot be both mothers and students, or mothers and career women. Thankfully, not every woman falls for this lie.

Each of these women chose life in the very circumstances that abortion advocates claim are the reasons why women need abortion. Women are told they are incapable of being mothers while also being students, or having a career. They are told they are too young to have children or that they could never really love a child conceived in rape. These are all lies that ensure the abortion continued profitability of the abortion industry. Women facing unplanned pregnancies will need support, love, charity, and kindness. But they will never need to kill their babies in order to succeed.
