Planned Parenthood affiliate vocally opposing Colorado bills to protect minors
In Colorado, Planned Parenthood is publicly opposing ballot measures designed to protect children from 'transgender' surgeries and safeguard female student athletes — even as the state continues to abort children without gestational limit.
Key Takeaways:
Protecting Children from Sex Trafficking (Ballot #108): This measure, titled the "Children Are Not For Sale Act," proposes a penalty of "life in prison without parole" for convictions of sex trafficking of a minor.
Protecting Girls’ Single-Sex Sports and Locker Rooms (Ballot #109): Dubbed the "Protect Women and Girls Sports Act," this measure seeks to prohibit biological males from participating in sports designated for females, including at the collegiate level.
Protecting Children From Irreversible Sex Change Procedures (Ballot #110): If passed, this measure would prohibit healthcare professionals from "altering biological sex characteristics... in response to a minor’s perception of sex or gender." It would also prohibit the use of state, federal, Medicaid, or private insurance funds for such surgeries on minors.
The Details:
Protect Kids Colorado, the group behind the measures, recently received approval for the ballot measures after submitting over 125,000 approved voter signatures to the state election officials, The Colorado Sun reported.
During the Capitol event, Jack Teter, VP of government affairs for PPRM, said, “We’re all in, and we’re here today as proud providers of abortion and gender affirming care because we know this fight.” Teter is a biological woman who identifies as a man.
In response to Planned Parenthood’s position, executive director of Protect Kids Colorado, Erin Lee, responded on X (formerly Twitter), “Surprise! Our ballot measure opposition is Planned Parenthood (aka those who PROFIT from medically unnecessary sex-rejecting procedures on minors children.).”

For the record: these ballot measures actually circumvented politicians & government entirely. ➡️ This is WE THE PEOPLE
Planned Parenthood transgender executive promotes abortion and s*x change surgeries while holding a child.
There’s something really demonic about this.
Live Action News has reported how Planned Parenthood continues to benefit from abortions and sex-rejecting “transgender” practices by targeting children through “sex education programs, teen clubs, and social media campaigns” and further capitalizes on minors by providing synthetic opposite sex hormones and puberty blockers with potentially life-long impacts.
According to local reports, several hospitals across the state announced the halting of "transgener" services, citing “the risk of losing federal dollars” after Trump administration executive orders and policy changes mandated the defunding of the “chemical and surgical mutilation” of children.
Prohibiting APR: In August 2025, in Bella Health and Wellness v. Weiser, a federal court struck down a Colorado law which unconstitutionally attempted to prohibit medical providers from providing “abortion pill reversal” (APR). APR, which has allegedly saved over 6,000 lives, was previously prohibited in Colorado. Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) represented nurse practitioner and midwife Chelsea Mynyk in the case. ADF’s senior counsel Kevin Theriot said, “Many women regret their chemical abortions, and some choose to reverse the effects of the first abortion drug, which can save their baby’s life… but Colorado’s law wrongly attempted to deny women the freedom to make that choice.”
Title IX violations: Last month, The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights found that Jefferson County Public Schools violated Title IX, stating that “up to 61 roster positions on girls’ sports teams in the District” were occupied by biologically male students. Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Kimberly Richey stated, “The District must act now to end these violations and protect future generations of girls from sex discrimination.”
Attempts to stifle free speech: On March 31, The U.S. Supreme Court found in Chiles v. Salazar that a Colorado law — which attempted to prohibit licensed counselors from providing certain types of therapy to minors, conflating “talk therapy” with inhumane “conversion therapy” by broadly defining the term to include “any practice or treatment… that attempts… to change an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity" and any “effor[t] to change behaviors or gender expressions or to eliminate or reduce sexual or romantic attraction or feelings toward individuals of the same sex” — “violates free speech.” As applied, Colorado law threatened possible fines and revoking of licenses if the therapy “realign[ed] identity with [biological] sex” or helped a client ‘change’ sexual attractions or behaviors as requested by the client to discuss.
Abortion: Colorado remains a top state known for promoting abortions and considering the killing of preborn children a state constitutional 'right.' Earlier this year, Live Action News reported that Colorado increased its abortion fund by 84% in 2025. According to Guttmacher, Colorado allows abortion without any gestational limits.
The Bottom Line:
Speaking in opposition to protections for children on the upcoming ballot, PPRM’s VP of Legislative Affairs said, “Young people need to be free to grow up without fearing that the government is going to come for them.”
Children need to be free from those who profess to be “health care professionals” who repeatedly betray the Hippocratic Oath to do no harm as they mutilate children’s healthy bodies.
Children need to be free to live and be children, without facing Planned Parenthood and the tools of the abortionist seeking to silence their beating hearts.
