Movie about pro-life activist Bevelyn Williams set to release soon

Pro-life activist Bevelyn Williams has announced a new film about her life, her conversion, her arrest, and her subsequent pardoning. The film, “Pardon Me,” is expected to hit theaters soon.

KEY TAKEAWAYS:

  • Pardoned pro-life activist Bevelyn Williams has announced the upcoming release of a movie about her life story, set to release this summer.
  • Williams was arrested and charged with FACE Act violations two years after her activism at a Manhattan Planned Parenthood. She was sentenced to 41 months in prison, but she and others were pardoned on January 22 by President Trump.
  • Angela R. White — perhaps better known as Blac Chyna — will portray Williams in the movie.

THE BACKSTORY:

Williams faced an unjust prosecution and imprisonment under the Biden-Harris administration for her pro-life activism outside a Manhattan Planned Parenthood in June of 2020. She was not arrested on the day of the protest, and it was more than two years before the Department of Justice opened an investigation into the events that transpired in 2020 involving a clinic worker whose hand was caught in the door. Williams was sentenced to 41 months in prison for violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, charges that were politically motivated by a pro-abortion administration that was reeling from the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

On January 23, 2025, newly inaugurated President Donald Trump pardoned Williams and 22 other imprisoned pro-life activists, and it was shortly after that that Williams was approached by producer Tony D. White of DeJaView Films to make a film about her life.

“Tony reached out, saying that my story needs to be shared,” Williams told Live Action News. Tony worked with his wife Jenna to write the movie, which begins from Williams’ childhood, before she became a Christian.

“The movie is going to highlight my abortion at 15 … and then work its way to the trial and how it was rigged, and pretty much expose that,” she said.

Angela R. White, also known as Blac Chyna, stars in “Pardon Me” as Williams.

THE SCOOP:

“This is a Christian pro-life movie, but it has some unconventional actors involved in the movie, so we’re hoping it’s going to bring a lot of light to the movie,” said Williams.

She added:

This is gonna be a great opportunity to close some gaps. Culturally speaking, I feel like the Black community has not been as privy as it should be to abortion, because unfortunately, we take up a big chunk of the clientele for abortion.

So I’m loving the fact that the actors are not your conventional actors but they’re gonna open up a great opportunity for people from all communities whether its the Christian community, whether its the Black community to come and listen to this story.

I’m big on bridging gaps. … I’m looking forward to an opportunity for this movie to help bridge cultural gaps and open up eyes.

The film is expected to be released by July 2025.
