Former Los Angeles deputy sues department, alleging abuse and coerced abortion
A former deputy for the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department (LASD) has filed a lawsuit alleging years of sexual abuse from several supervisors, as well as a coerced abortion.
The woman, known only as Jane Doe, said being an LASD deputy had been her lifelong dream, but despite having a military background, she was not hired.
A high-ranking supervisor said he would hire her if she had sex with him; believing she had no choice, she complied. That supervisor later coerced her into having an abortion against her wishes, even driving her to the abortion facility.
He is alleged to have trafficked her to two other supervisors for sex.
Doe said she eventually became suicidal and had an emotional breakdown.
She is suing to force the county to produce the supervisors’ files as part of the discovery process for her lawsuit.
The Westside Current reported that Doe filed a lawsuit against the LASD, alleging:
sexual battery
gender discrimination
assault and battery
negligence
negligent hiring and supervision
failure to prevent harassment
civil rights violations
The three supervisors are not named in the suit, but she is seeking to force the county to produce their personnel files. They are a division chief and two other supervisors; the chief and one of the supervisors retired, while the other supervisor resigned.
Doe said her dream had been to become a LASD deputy, and with a military background, she felt she was eligible. “However, that dream quickly became a nightmare as Doe was subjected to a harrowing and sustained pattern of sexual abuse perpetrated by high-ranking LASD officials,” the lawsuit said.
In 2006, she applied but was not hired. Later, at a conference, she met the LASD division chief, who was in his 50s; Doe was in her 20s. She says he told her that if she slept with him, she would be hired. She said she felt she had no other choice, so she agreed.
“This conversation kicked off a horrific cycle of sexual abuse by (the division chief) and other LASD supervisors that lasted for six interminable years,” the lawsuit said.
She was hired and entered the academy, but the division chief introduced her to another supervisor and instructed her to “take care of him sexually." After graduating the academy, Doe was assigned to the Twin Towers jail, where she was introduced to another supervisor and was directed to have sex with him also.
In 2010, Doe became pregnant, and the division chief coerced her to have an abortion, even though she did not want one. He went so far as to drive to the abortion facility to ensure she went through with the procedure.
By 2012, Doe suffered an emotional breakdown and became suicidal. Though she filed complaints with the LASD’s Special Victims Unit, her lawsuit said the investigation was designed to “designed to bury her allegations” rather than honestly assess what had happened.
The first hearing is scheduled for July 15.
Abortion is a tool frequently used by abusers to cover up their crimes, and the abortion industry has shown that all too often, it is willing to look the other way.
As Live Action’s Aiding Abusers investigation found, there has been a systemic, decades-long cover-up of child sexual abuse by abortion businesses. The multi-part video series covered sex trafficking, recorded cases, interviews with former workers, and more. In still another investigation, Planned Parenthood advised actors posing as traffickers to pretend to be the guardians of minors and lie about the ages of their child victims.

Tragically, numerous real-life predators have also been aided by the abortion industry, and not just in undercover investigations using actors.
A report published by the Annals of Health Law in 2014 found that Planned Parenthood is well known to trafficking victims. These victims had “significant contact with clinical treatment facilities, most commonly Planned Parenthood.” Many survivors testified to having undergone multiple abortions, often at the demand of their pimps, with one specifically saying Planned Parenthood was chosen because “[they] didn’t ask any questions.”...
"I got pregnant six times and had six abortions during this time. Several of them were from a doctor who was a client — he did them back door — I came in the back door after hours and paid them off the books. This kept my name off any records… At least one of my abortions was from Planned Parenthood because they didn’t ask any questions."
Numerous studies have also found that traffickers use abortion to subjugate their victims and keep them working.
It is not known if the abortion facility in Doe's case asked any questions as to her situation and as to whether or not she truly wanted the abortion. Given that she was turned over to her abuser after the abortion was committed, however, it seems likely that the abortion was committed, no questions asked, and Doe sent on her way without any help to escape from her situation or save her preborn child's life.
