Live Action's Top 10 Highlights of 2025: Engaging the culture with pro-life truth
The work accomplished in 2025 by Live Action — the digital leader of the pro-life movement which has been sharing the truth about abortion since it became an official non-profit organization in 2008 — continued to change hearts and minds by sharing the truth about abortion and human dignity through media, world-class events, on-campus debates, and on-the-ground activism.
Here are the top 10 Live Action highlights of 2025 (in no particular order):

In December, Live Action released the video, "Meet Baby Oliver," a sequel to the popular "Meet Baby Olivia" computer-animated video. "Baby Oliver" revealed more details about early stages of human development with further scientific clarity and breathtaking details. "Baby Oliver" shows the often-misunderstood events of the first days of human life — from fertilization to the formation of the zygote to implantation, highlighting the rapid growth of the preborn child and his humanity.

On June 28, Live Action led a call to action known as Defund Day, a single coordinated day of demonstration rallies held at more than 200 Planned Parenthood locations across the nation.
Pro-life activists urged Congress to finally and permanently defund Planned Parenthood of the $800 million it receives in taxpayer funding every year. Ultimately, on July 4, President Trump signed a law passed by Congress, revoking Medicaid funding for the abortion corporation for one year.

Live Action took to college campuses in 2025, participating in debates at Georgetown University, UC Irvine, Vanguard University, Dartmouth College, and Yale University.
In February, Rose debated Dr. Mary Anne Franks at Georgetown University, where they discussed issues surrounding abortion and the role of the legal system in protecting fundamental human rights.
In June, Live Action's Christina Bennett debated Mikki Kendall, an author and pro-abortion political commentator, at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. Bennett argued based on the humanity of the child, while Kendall consistently ignored the child's humanity.
In September, just days after the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, Rose accepted an invitation to debate Frances Kissling, former president of Catholics for Choice and a founder of the National Abortion Federation. Rose argued that women don't need abortion to have autonomy, and a person's value is not dependent on their size or location. A vote at the end of the debate saw Rose win by a 2-to-1 margin.
In November, Rose debated political commentator and video game streamer "Destiny" at UC Irvine over whether abortion should be legal. The two had previously been scheduled to debate in April, but on that date, Destiny failed to attend.
Also in November, Rose debated Kyla Turner (@notsoErudite) at Vanguard University on the topic of abortion and the right to life.

In January, Lila Rose appeared on Jubilee's "Surrounded," during which she debated 25 pro-abortion activists.
During the nearly-two hour debate, Rose argued that abortion leaves lifelong scars on women, that abortion can never be justified, and that every preborn child has the right to life.

The debate had more than 4 million views on YouTube and changed countless hearts and minds on abortion.

Live Action held its first annual Women's Summit: Return to Eden on June 21, an event designed to "encourage and equip women to stand up for life."
The summit included speakers such as New York Times bestselling author and minister Lisa Bevere, international speaker Stephanie Gray Connors, and author, speaker, and host of the "Relatable" podcast, Allie Beth Stuckey.

“Ladies, we have the opportunity of a lifetime to stand up and to answer a call from God that he has given to each of us,” Rose told women at the summit. “That call personally will look different for each of us. But the universal call is a call to courage and to stand up to speak the truth and to live with love to be women of conviction in a world that sorely needs it.”

Live Action's second annual Young Leaders Summit was held in March, inspiring and encouraging up-and-coming young leaders.
Speakers included Nick Freitas — member of the Virginia House of Delegates, Green Beret combat veteran, and public speaker. Pro-life activist Bevelyn Williams, who was pardoned by President Trump in January, also spoke, along with Dr. Jennifer Morse and Michael Knowles.

Live Action's Baby Olivia educational video on human development in the womb was added to school curricula in four new states in 2025 — Ohio, Idaho, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Live Action's "Meet Baby Olivia" video is a computer-generated 3D animation detailing human development in the womb, including milestones such as the development of arms and legs, brain activity, heartbeat, hiccups, and more.
The video was created in collaboration with a panel of medical doctors and is authorized for use in some school curricula to teach children the scientific truth of life in the womb.

Scientific information described in the Baby Olivia video comes from the Endowment for Human Development (EHD), a “nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health science education and public health." National Geographic has, for years, distributed EHD's prenatal development DVD.

A 2025 undercover Live Action investigation confirmed how easy it is for minors to obtain cross-sex hormones from Planned Parenthood.
During the investigation, an undercover activist posed as a 16-year-old girl calling Planned Parenthood facilities that offer "transgender services" in eight one-party consent states/territories — Minnesota, Oregon, Maine, New York, New Jersey, New Mexico, Colorado, and Washington, D.C.

Staff at seven of the 33 facilities confirmed that they would prescribe cross-sex hormones at the first appointment, even virtually. Five of the facilities said the girl did not need proof of having undergone therapy, mental health clearance, or prior documentation as part of a mental health assessment before Planned Parenthood would prescribe her testosterone.

Live Action's "Face to Face" video series continued in 2025 with stories of women who chose life following rape, as well as stories of those who were conceived in rape.
Mark Roepke, who was conceived in rape, explained, "The circumstances of my conception do not determine my worth as a human being. I have a right to life as much as anyone else does. And the sins of my father do not fall on me." Their stories helped change countless hearts and minds on abortion.

Another 2025 episode of Face to Face brought together women who were pressured into abortions and men who had pressured their partners into having abortions, and the regret they all share. Their stories highlight the fact that most women who have had abortions say they did so because they felt pressured.

Live Action launched a new podcast in 2025, Conceiving Crime. The true crime podcast featured narratives about crimes involving sex, procreation, pregnancy, birth, and all things human reproduction.
Listeners commented, "I'm addicted to this podcast," and "I don't even like true crime as a genre but these are so well done. These are stories that need to be told." Others wrote, "I am obsessed with this series," and "Thank you for covering these heartbreaking stories! The public needs to hear them..."

Hosted by Live Action's Sami Parker, the 10 Conceiving Crime episodes include stories of embryo mix-ups among IVF patients, fertility doctors using their own sperm to impregnate patients, parents pressuring their surrogate to have an abortion, the kidnapping of thousands of children to be "adopted" under false pretenses, an abortionist who sexually assaulted his patients, an abortionist who hid thousands of bodies, and more.
