California Democratic Representative Ted Lieu raised eyebrows Wednesday after he tweeted support for abortion, just hours after announcing a plan that would ban “inhumane” glue traps for rodents. Lieu’s pair of tweets and his apparent inability to recognize that abortion is the most inhumane treatment of all demonstrates the hypocrisy and dissonance of those who are willing to defend abortion at all costs.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) on Wednesday, Lieu first shared a tweet decrying the use of glue traps to kill rodents, announcing that he was sponsoring a bill that would make the pest removal products illegal.
“Glue traps are among the cruelest ways to eliminate rodents. They’re inhumane and can be dangerous to humans and their pets,” he wrote.
While his statement and wish to spare rodents this type of death was innocuous, Lieu’s incredible contradictory beliefs were put on full display just hours later when he tweeted a post blasting pro-lifers.
“Monday marks 51 years since the Roe v. Wade decision,” he wrote. “Roe was overturned by the far-right Supreme Court 18 months ago and Americans’ reproductive rights remain under attack by MAGA extremists who want to ban all abortion nationwide.”

WARNING: Some images below may be disturbing.
Lieu’s inability to recognize that abortion is the brutal death of a developing human being is sadly an all-too-common reality among people who are quick to accept abortion without stopping to think about what it actually does.

Abortion is the direct and intentional homicide of a preborn human being. During the abortion procedure, the baby in the womb is either starved to death, brutally dismembered, or poisoned.
Abortion workers who have left the industry have recounted having nightmares related to the devastating emotional toll of seeing their victims. Now, with the increase in at-home abortions via the abortion pill, many women are speaking out about the trauma they experienced after recognizing that what their body was expelling wasn’t just a blob of tissue, but a fully-formed preborn child.

There is nothing more inhumane than the devastating ways in which these abortion victims were killed and then discarded.

Pro-lifers who advocate for the rights of preborn children in the womb aren’t extremists who are trying to attack anyone’s rights. They are consistent in advocating for the right of human beings to not be unjustly killed, either in or out of the womb. They are trying to ensure that the most innocent among us are granted the right to life while sparing these innocent babies from the most inhumane death of all — the violence of abortion.
