Biden’s health secretary, Dr. Rachel Levine, recently visited an organization called Identity Alaska. While there, Levine, a biological male who identifies as a woman, praised the gender clinic, which wants the word “mother” replaced with phrases such as “egg producer.” Such language diminishes the vital role of women as mothers and the value of motherhood and negates the necessary mother/child bond.
The Alaska organization also promotes the notion of changing the way schools teach biology to be “gender-inclusive,” which purports that doctors are only making a “guess” when they “assign” babies a gender at birth.
A document shared by The Daily Mail from genderinclusivebiology.com shows that rather than men/male and women/female, the organization wants teachers to focus on “the organ, functional activity, or role” rather than the human being.
Instead of “The mother carries the fetus for 9 months,” the group wants teachers to say, “The gestational parent carries the fetus for 9 months.” And instead of “Males are more likely to be color blind,” the goal is to have teachers say, “XY individuals are more likely to be color blind.”
Women are also to be referred to as “estrogen-dominant bod[ies]” and men as “people with testes,” according to the document. The unique beauty of what it means to be a woman and what it means to be a man would be erased.
In addition, instead of “mom,” the terms “birth parent” and “carrier” are recommended. And instead of throwing a “gender reveal party,” the goal is to have parents throw “embryogenesis parties” or “chromosome reveal parties.”
In promoting such anti-motherhood terminology, Identity Alaska and the Biden administration by way of Levine are actively stripping the language of family, replacing it with language typically reserved for surrogates or egg donors. Surrogates and egg donors often declare to have no emotional connection to the children they help to bring into the world (though that is debatable). By transferring this same impersonal, detached language to pregnant, biological mothers, gender inclusivity businesses and organizations are encouraging society to equate natural motherhood to a transaction — effectively working to erase the very real, necessary, and meaningful mother/child bond that exists during pregnancy.
“It is a wholesale attack on what it means to be a woman,” Live Action president and founder Lila Rose told Rachel Campos-Duffy during Jesse Watters Primetime on Wednesday. “And women are under attack today. We are being deconstructed and attacked. Our very ability – our superpower – to bring life into the world has been attacked for decades.”
Rose added:
Abortion has been celebrated as some sort of empowerment when it’s the destruction of that superpower – bringing life into the world in our own children. And it’s offensive and quite frankly, most Americans agree, it is totally ridiculous to reduce a woman – a mother – to an egg donor or to a gestational unit of some kind.
This is a human being, a woman, that has that unique power, which should be celebrated and protected, not attacked.
Rose noted that such an “attack on all biological women” by Levine “should not be tolerated.” She pointed out that Levine is biologically a man who is living as a woman while attacking biological women who are mothers by expressing agreement with the idea that they shouldn’t be called mothers anymore.
Normalizing the idea of “gender-inclusive biology” for children risks causing confusion for them. Levine, who is grateful he didn’t ‘transition’ as a child, nevertheless believes children should be allowed to take opposite sex hormones prior to puberty, a decision that could leave them infertile. Levine claimed that “Gender-affirming care is mental health care” and said that for “pre-pubertal children, there are no medical procedures done. The standard of care allows them to explore that with therapy.”
Yet, there may be no going back once the hormones are taken and the child’s voice and physical appearance are possibly permanently changed and their fertility lost.
Changing the language has been a common tactic of the abortion industry as well, which has reduced the humanity of preborn children by convincing society that an abortion simply ends a “pregnancy” or removes a “fetus” or “pregnancy tissue.” Now, mothers appear at risk of losing their humanity as well.
