Most all abortions comes from unintended pregnancies so it is an important piece of data to be aware of in understanding the abortion issue.

The following charts are based on data from the National Survey of Family Growth conducted by the National Center for Health Statistics. The National Center for Health Statistics is a division of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention which is a part of the United States federal government.
