Instagram post suggests having 100+ abortions is fine: 'You either support abortion or not'
An Instagram post celebrating abortion has exposed the fact that many Americans believe women should avoid having multiple abortions and/or using it as a form of birth control.
It also showed the damage that the idea of 'subjective truth' has done to younger generations, leading them to believe that when human life begins is a matter of individual opinion rather than scientific fact.
In a recent social media post, a woman expressed support for women who have multiple abortions (which directly and intentionally end the lives of preborn human beings), even saying that there is no such thing as "too many" abortions.
While several commenters to the post said that it was unhealthy to have that many abortions and expressed concern for women that do so, the original poster insisted that abortions are always safe and have no risks.
Several commenters claimed that the point at which human life begins is subjective.
Others argued that its better to have "100 abortions" than "1 kid they didn't want," apparently overlooking the fact that those 100 abortions were, in fact, human beings that "they didn't want."
According to the original poster, @conceitedcan, and several commenters, there is nothing wrong with abortion or even with having a hundred abortions.
Two comments that highlight this are:
I’d rather someone have 100 abortions than to have just 1 kid they didnt want
100 abortions > 100 kids (This is the post's most liked comment)
Apparently these commenters missed the fact that an abortion actually ends the life of a human being — so, 100 abortions means killing 100 actual children who were 100% alive and human but not yet living outside the womb. If someone aborts a child, that aborted child was a "kid they didn't want."
Whether or not a human being is valued or "wanted" by someone else has zero bearing on the actual, intrinsic value and irreplaceability of that human being.
Other comments claimed that babies are only human when the mother says they are, and anyone who even suggests that abortion may come with health risks is 'anti-woman.'
The video, seen below, received a million views and shows a young woman wearing an "Abortion Yacht Club" shirt, giving a thumbs up and nodding with the caption, "my reaction to the number of abortions someone has had."
The number on the screen continues to rise, up to having "too many [abortions] to count." She approves of any amount of abortions.
She also wrote, "shame and stigma will NEVER live here. I understand and support every decision (yes fr every circumstance, every reason)."
In a comment, she wrote, "Obviously this reel is an over exaggeration to get a specific point ..."
Her post may have been an exaggeration of how she feels about women who have dozens of abortions (read: end the lives of dozens of their own children prior to birth), but the comments show that many people think having multiple abortions is wrong.
Other comments show that misinformation and a misguided belief in subjective truth (postmodern thought) is fueling support for abortion.
Comments on concerns for women having multiple abortions include:
I wouldn't ever judge, but at a certain point I'd start to be worried about them. Like, there are other much safer/healthier forms of contraception.
As a nurse my main concern for individuals like this is sexual coercion and violence.
Its not about the shame but after like a certain amount I would just be worried for her health and maybe even safety, what kind of environment is she in to be having that many pregnancies and abortions can go wrong so it's just risky too have too many.
I always thought its Harder to get pregnant once you got an abortion...
after some point i'd greet them with condoms everyday
3 is the cap, respectfully
I'd lowk be concerned, like girl use a condom i dont think that's healthy for you
0 is the max lowk
2 is too many
All yall need jesus christ
unless you got assaulted or something like that it ain't no reason why you going over 4
Yess but also remember that getting constant abortion treatment is unhealthy after a few times... it can affect the uterus
I wouldn't judge but would get worried
Totally support abortions but it gets to a point ONLY SAYING IF IT'S DONE ON PURPOSE (aka not using protection or the pill) it gets..wierd..but yall do you it's your body and life (it's different if your really fertile but still use protection...
Why don’t people make more of an effort to promote protection, birth control, or even medical procedures like vasectomies to prevent pregnancy? I support abortion, but when it comes to consensual sexual activity where people willingly choose not to protect themselves over and over, it feels wrong to rely on abortion repeatedly. It seems like we should encourage more responsible approaches to prevent unwanted pregnancies in the first place.
The original poster, @conceitedcan, said, "it’s a very very thin line between being concerned and projecting stigma dressed up as concerns. Some ppl have alot of sex and are very fertile, who knows.. the point is that it’s not my place to judge another persons experiences. And also! It’s not 'risky' to have multiple abortions."

An argument ensued:
@duvudu.devide: "it can take a toll on their mental and physical health eventually I’m not saying I have a position to judge and I’m not supporting stigma I would genuinely just be worried about their wellbeing especially about why they’re getting pregnant so much if they don’t want to be (abusive relationships etc)."
@conceitedcan: "Have you ever had an abortion?"
@duvudu.devide: "no but I have friends who had abortions and they told me about how sick it made them so I was just taking that into consideration."
@gabi.livin: "Ok You either support abortion or not. No ifs, no fake worrying. When it comes to voting, you either vote yes or no. Period."
So, is it risky to have multiple abortions?
Mayo Clinic says that it depends on the type of abortion and tries to claim that it is not risky. However, it also states (emphasis added), "[B]ands of scar tissue form in the uterus after dilation and curettage. This condition is called Asherman syndrome. The risk of this syndrome is higher after getting dilation and curettage more than once. Asherman syndrome is linked with trouble becoming pregnant in the future."
Surprisingly, abortion pill business Hey Jane notes that surgical abortions can cause "complications such as infection, uterine scarring, or pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)" which could affect fertility.
One large study found that women who had three or more abortions have a higher risk of their future born baby being premature and having low birth weight.
Another study found, "Multiple abortions are consistently associated with adverse health consequences."
@gabi.livin defended abortion as a form of birth control, writing, "Some people can't take BC. It's SO SO hard on the body. Abortion helps, and is so freeing for so many. Also, birth control fails."
Then things got a bit sexist.
@duvudu.devide responded with the need to defend himself, saying:
I vote yes for abortion I’m just saying having too many is not healthy 🤦♂️ I’m very supportive of legalizing abortions in any case but there should be some sort of agreement that it does take a toll on the health (hormones are involved and depending on what stage of pregnancy it can be heavy to recover from) and there shouldn’t be too many in a row I’m saying this only because I care for their health and safety not because of stigma.
But that's when @gabi.livin diverted from the argument over whether multiple abortions are healthy or dangerous and attacked @duvudu.devide simply for being male and daring to have concerns about the risks of abortion.
She wrote, "David. You are a man. I didn’t realize til I clicked ur page. It’s always a man. What committee would be created to investigate or monitor these so called abortions you support? Do you realize you DONT support a person’s right to autonomy in their own healthcare decisions about their bodies?"

When @owenkellington chimed in, @gabi.livin went after him too. "another man. Jees," she wrote. "Please worry about yourself bro. Abortion is love, period. Not going back and forth" (emphasis added).
Love is willing the good of the other, not standing by while they take part in destructive actions like abortion.
Anyone can have an opinion on abortion, including men. (Women never seem to object when men voice an opinion in support of abortion.) Induced abortion is the intentional killing of innocent preborn humans — a total injustice against human rights. Anyone is allowed to stand up against injustice and the violation of another person's rights.
Many commenters defended abortion, and in the process, dehumanized children in the womb:
sukruthm10 4wAbortion is healthcare. No woman should be forced to have kids they don’t want.
EDIT: Before yall comment its muder lemme tell u its not. A foetus is a mass of cells not a living being.cri_tss 4w@sukruthm10 actually it is a baby
sukruthm10 4w@karrar6790 a human is someone that can show humanity and other feelings. learn the definition before calling me out lmao.
sukruthm10 4w@meandepiphany only a living being if it develops and comes out of the womb until then not a real "human"
So what is the definition of "human?"
Merriam Webster Dictionary defines "human" as "a person." The Oxford English Dictionary defines "human" as "A human being, a person; a member of the species Homo sapiens..." (emphasis added).
No other factor matters — not age, location, size, level of development, consciousness, health status, or the parents' finances. And the mother (who is human) definitely doesn't get to decide if her baby is human or not. (Human mothers gestate human babies, after all.)

Yet multiple comments were based on the false idea that the truth about when life begins and whether a preborn embryo or fetus is human is completely subjective, as is the truth about abortion being an act of killing:
you don’t make the rules for other ppl body tho…
things happen 🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️ neither one of us can draw the line and say “that’s too much” on what somebody else has going on girl
abortion is birth control 🫠🫠 just bcs you say it’s not, that mean it’s not? lol ppl use abortion as birth control, it will control if you give birth or not 😭
im on my 6th like idc if its human my choice human or not
Why would you be worried about someone else's personal decision? You people are weird. How does that affect you? It doesn't.
Whatever anybody does is their business only. Each person will give an account to God for THEIR OWN life, not anybody else's. Only their's. Get that in your head.💀💀
What someone else does with THEIR body is none of MY business AMENNNN
No matter how many abortions you got, as long as you're happy with your choice it's none of my business
There are many Americans who believe that abortion is unethical yet should be legal, and there are also countless Americans who see nothing wrong with abortion and the sky is the limit.
These beliefs are heavily influenced by the abortion industry's decades of marketing efforts (with the mainstream media assisting) to convince Americans that preborn humans are merely "cells" or "tissue" and that any reason is a good reason to have an abortion.
But science tells us that life begins at fertilization and common sense ethics tells us that killing innocent humans is wrong. Induced abortion, no matter how it is framed or how many times it happens, is always wrong.
