NARAL and Planned Parenthood: Rand Paul is going to get punched

In another classy move, NARAL and at least one Planned Parenthood affiliate are tweeting that Rand Paul is going to get punched. Paul, a U.S. Senator and GOP presidential candidate, has been in the news recently for his sponsorship of the Life at Conception Act. The proposed law would recognize preborn children as persons deserving of protection under the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.

But when Paul dared to speak out against abortion at the GOP debate on Thursday, NARAL apparently couldn’t take his protection of all life a second longer:

Of course, abortion giant Planned Parenthood couldn’t stand to be left out.

Planned Parenthood Illinois Action quickly retweeted NARAL and also commented on the tweet with great applause:

Must it be said aloud that a GIF or a “joke” about violence isn’t funny? Threateningly implying that someone deserves to be assaulted is not appropriate in political debate or a basic, civilized society. Peaceful, life-loving people do not make such statements.

After the GOP debate, NARAL also asserted that Ted Cruz’s recent formation of a “Pro-Lifers for Cruz” coalition proves that he is even more “awful.”

NARAL and Planned Parenthood can continue to shame candidates and Americans who stand for the lives of all human beings, but their sarcastic, rude, vulgar, and violent comments do nothing to alter public opinion.

The majority of Americans oppose late-term abortion (something Democrat presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders support). NARAL and Planned Parenthood both extol the virtues of Clinton and Sanders, and yet, Clinton has stated abortion should be legal until “the very end of the third trimester.” Sanders has voted against two bills backed by the American public: the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban and the Unborn Victims of Violence Act. (Both passed anyway.)

NARAL and Planned Parenthood are vastly out of step with public sentiment. In fact, “A new poll shows that a whopping 84% of Americans want to ban abortion after the first trimester, and that includes 7 out of 10 who consider themselves “pro-choice.” Thus, these abortion giants consistently resort to classless arguments that serve merely to make themselves look desperate.

Too bad Planned Parenthood’s affiliates don’t listen to the advice offered by the national Planned Parenthood Action:

Shame and threats do not make the abortion industry’s positions either correct or appealing, and it’s time they taught themselves to stop the hate.

Ironic, isn’t it, that the same groups suggesting violence against Rand Paul are the very ones accusing pro-lifers of “inciting violence” with “hate-filled rhetoric.”
