Minnesota’s oldest abortion business to close after killing tens of thousands of preborn children
Minnesota’s oldest abortion facility, the Robbinsdale Clinic near Minneapolis, will close permanently next month, according to news reports.
CCX Media says the facility is shutting its doors for good due to the fact that it is losing money; a fundraiser launched last summer only generated about $43,000 of its $300,000 goal. The business has been sold to U.S. Internet, which plans to demolish it and construct a new building.

According to an emailed announcement from Pro-Life Action Ministries (PLAM), the abortion business has been responsible for the deaths of an estimated 60,000 preborn children since it first began committing abortions after Roe v. Wade in 1973. PLAM was involved in active ministry and sidewalk counseling in front of the facility since the 1980s, including an incident in 1987 in which the remains of 13 aborted babies and patient records were found in a dumpster behind the building. PLAM held a funeral for the deceased children.

PLAM also noted that while tens of thousands of preborn babies were aborted at the facility, hundreds were also saved over the years, in part due to the efforts of sidewalk counselors. In 1992, local pro-lifers were able to open a pregnancy resource center across the street, offering abortion-minded women tangible help and resources, and alternatives to abortion.

“We are very grateful to God that this blight in the city of Robbinsdale and, indeed, the whole of Minnesota is now closed,” said Brian Gibson, CEO of Pro-Life Action Ministries. “So many lives have been lost at this location. So many women harmed. And yet, so many babies’ lives have been saved and so many families helped by our persistent presence, offering alternatives to abortion, throughout the decades.”
“Please pray for June Fahrmann, the abortionist/owner of this facility,” added Gibson. “She has been involved in the killing of babies at this location since the mid-70s. She is selling, but has not had a change of heart. She desperately needs to know the love of God through repentance and turning to Christ.”
