Abortion Pill Reversal

‘It is worth the effort’: Doctor shows off baby saved by abortion pill reversal

A Facebook post from a pro-life doctor in Tennessee has been shared over 2,000 times, and for a very good reason. With one photograph, Dr. Brent Boles has shown thousands of people that abortion pill reversal really does work.

“Recently I did this delivery, and am sharing the picture with the patient’s permission,” he wrote. “You see, when a woman takes the abortion pill, she often immediately regrets it. This patient did exactly that.”

In the photo he shared, Boles can be seen holding up a newborn baby after a C-section delivery. This baby, marked for abortion, was saved by the efforts of a committed pro-life doctor and a mother who changed her mind after she made a near-fatal mistake.

As explained in the video below by former abortionist Dr. Anthony Levatino, the abortion pill is used during the first 10 weeks of pregnancy. The first step is to administer the RU-486 pill, or Mifepristone, which acts to block progesterone, a hormone in the mother’s body that protects the baby by stabilizing the uterine walls. Without that progesterone, the uterine lining breaks down and the child is deprived of nourishment which causes the child’s death. However, if the woman doesn’t take the second pill, Misoprostol, which would work to expel the child, she may be able to stop the first pill’s effects by contacting AbortionPillRescue.

After taking the first of the two pills to abort her child, Boles’ patient changed her mind. Abortionists will often tell women that they can’t stop a medical abortion and that even if they are able to stop it, their child will likely have birth defects. But this is untrue, as Boles mentions. This patient, like many before her, thankfully found AbortionPillRescue.com and was connected to Boles.

“… I am on the panel of prolife providers who are willing to try to reverse the poison they were given,” he wrote. “Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, but as you can see – it is worth the effort.”

According to a study by doctor George Delgado, one of the doctors who first discovered that abortion pill reversal is possible, their efforts work for up to 68 percent of women who attempt it within 72 hours of taking the first abortion pill. None of the surviving babies have had birth defects as a result of the abortion pill. According to Heartbeat International, over 500 children have been saved by abortion pill reversal and another 100 are due to be born soon.

Stories like this remind us that abortion is not often a choice of free will for women, but a desperate move because they feel they have no other options. There is always another option than abortion.

Congratulations to this new mother and to Dr. Boles, whose efforts helped to save a precious, young life.
