Canada gives $4M to researchers for increasing abortion access
The Canadian government recently gave $4.3 million to researchers to study barriers to abortion among indigenous individuals, migrants, minorities, homeless individuals, LGBTQ individuals, young people, and people with disabilities or health concerns.
The Canadian government gave $4.3 million to researchers to find ways to increase access to abortion for certain groups of people, including indigenous individuals, migrants, and minorities.
The funding is part of a $13 million "investment" into sexual and reproductive health services in the nation.
The Minister of Health explained that this was done to ensure "Canadians can fully participate in the workforce."
Canada's Sexual and Reproductive Health Fund, which supports the nationwide University of British Columbia (UBC) Contraception and Abortion Research Team (CART), awarded $4.3M to UBC researchers to study the barriers to abortion among specific groups of individuals in order to increase abortion access.
On the surface, it may seem as though the government wants to help these individuals access "abortion care," but in reality, they are targeting their children for death, attempting to avoid paying maternity leave, and trying to keep people in the workplace.
The funding is part of a $13 million investment from the government to make sexual and reproductive health services more accessible, specifically minority and marginalized groups. The $4.3 million will be used to update content on the Canadian Abortion Provider Support Website, host a national knowledge mobilization event, and create resources for potential abortion clients.
Canada's Minister of Health, the Honourable Marjorie Michel, exposed the truth behind the decision to fund the program, saying, "Through projects like the ones announced today, the government is taking concrete actions to advance health equity and gender equality, so more Canadians can fully participate in the workforce."

Together, we can end abortion and create a future where every child is cherished and every mother is supported.
"Our team, and our partner organizations engaged in this work across Canada, are honoured and delighted to have this opportunity," said principal researcher Dr. Wendy Norman, interim co-head of UBC's department of family practice, CART founder and director, and Canada Research Chair in Family Planning Innovation. "This award will advance equitable access to respectful high-quality abortion care that is welcoming and appropriate for people from all cultures and identity groups. Health Canada's funding has been essential to support CART to convene national primary care health professional organizations to work in concert advancing patient care."
Canada wants to ensure that its workers have access to abortion so that if they become pregnant, they can more easily access abortion and remain in the workforce, and it's willing to spend millions to ensure countless children are slaughtered in the name of its economy.
The successful effort to increase abortion access would serve the government in two ways:
It allows the government to avoid paying for maternity and paternity leave, which ranges from 15 to 40 weeks, and therefore avoid giving out 55% of average weekly earnings up to a person's maximum weekly earnings while he or she is away from a job.
It continues to ensure women remain in the workforce long-term, with large percentages of their income given to the government.
