Texas took an important step today toward true equal protection of unalienable rights. Pain-capable babies saved from dismemberment and women’s health safeguarded with practical surgical standards – this is what passed in Austin over Planned Parenthood’s and NARAL’s supporters angry objections. Texas is moving closer to an ethos that enshrines the inherent dignity of every human being, and their fundamental human right to life. May the rest of the nation follow on that path, and may we reach the destination soon.
