University of Illinois Chicago approves Planned Parenthood for work-study jobs
The University of Illinois Chicago will allow law students to use federal work-study funding for jobs at Planned Parenthood.
The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) School of Law has approved Planned Parenthood of Illinois as a "qualified agency" for the school's work-study program.
Planned Parenthood of Illinois commits both chemical and surgical abortions.
The UIC School of Nursing similarly promotes abortion, with a $5,000 stipend provided for an abortion training fellowship.
Campus Reform reported that the UIC School of Law has approved Planned Parenthood of Illinois as an agency for its federal work-study program.
Under the federal work-study program, students can work part-time either on or off campus with non-profit organizations or other approved employers. Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion business in the country, and Planned Parenthood of Illinois specifically commits both chemical and surgical abortions.
Under the work-study program, students can make over $19/hour working at Planned Parenthood, with up to 20 hours per week allowed during the fall and spring semesters, and 29 hours per week during the summer.
This is not the only pro-abortion initiative on campus at UIC. The School of Nursing likewise has two abortion fellowships, for which they provide a $5,000 stipend.
The RADIANT (Reproductive Advocacy and Diversity in Advanced Nursing Training) Fellowship is a training program with two abortion-related programs. The goals of the fellowship are to train providers to be abortionists, educate medical students on how to commit abortion, and expand access to abortion.
There is also a second fellowship, RADIANT ED, focusing on emergency medicine, which aims to train emergency room health care providers to commit abortions, and to "identify and address institutional challenges" surrounding access to abortion.
Funding for the fellowships come from Illinois taxpayers, with the Illinois Department of Public Health awarding a $2 million grant for abortion-related training, which was given to UIC College of Nursing, the Midwest Access Project, and Planned Parenthood of Illinois.
Illinois taxpayers may not realize that they are funding abortion through public universities, a concerning thought for the pro-lifers residing in one of the most pro-abortion states in the country.
