‘You mean two, right? At the same time?’ Shocked mom reacts to news that she’s having twins

A sweet video making the rounds on social media features a woman undergoing an ultrasound and discovering that she is pregnant with twins. Her reaction is priceless.

The sonographer gasps before announcing, “You have twins.”

The mother replies, “I’m sorry, what?” multiple times. Then she tells the sonographer she must be joking. “You’re lying. You’re joking. You’re so funny. Hahaha,” she says.

The sonographer points out the two amniotic sacs around the babies, and the surprised mom seems to grow anxious, asking, “So you mean two, right? At the same time? How you even push them at the same time?”

The nervous but excited mother may have had reason to believe twins were possible. As she told the sonographer, “But twins are like barely in my family.” After the sonographer tried to explain that even without a family history there is still the possibility of conceiving the twins, the mother said, “I’m kidding, we do.” Her sister, she explained, also has twins.

“Oh God. Oh my God, I’ve got to call home,” said the mom.

A similar video landed one family on television after they surprised the expectant mom’s sister with the news of twins during an ultrasound.

“Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!” the sister screams as she jumps out of her chair. “I was thinking those are two heads! Oh my God! Can I have one!? Can I have a baby!? Oh my God! Oh my God, Jill! I’m so jealous! Oh, I’m so happy! Do you know what they are!?”

The couple hadn’t yet learned if the babies were boys or girls but had just found out they were having twins before her sister arrived. During the video, they learn the twins are both boys.

Another couple shared their video of learning they were having twins — and though the father himself is a twin, they were shocked. The mom could not hold back her smile or her tears as she processed the news.

“My mom is gonna flip! Your mom is gonna flip,” she said. She added that she never wanted twins and it will be a lot of work.

“You were chosen to have twins,” the sonographer reassured her. “Not many people get to have this. You were chosen. The Big Guy anointed you, ok? […] You’re so blessed.”

Learning you are pregnant can be overwhelming news, but finding out you have twins is even more incredible. Even with the fears in mind, parents can’t hold back their excitement at the news that they’ve received a double blessing.
