After Cesare Santangelo was caught by a Live Action investigator, claiming that he would not do anything to help a baby who had survived a botched abortion at his clinic, he lashed out with this senseless accusation:
I don’t like to feed into these people. I really consider them terrorists.
Wait. Just a second. A “doctor” who has been caught revealing that he is willing to
- break the law
- provide no medical care to a struggling newborn
- pressure a nervous woman into an abortion, and
- call a hospital “stupid” for following the law and caring for surviving babies
wants to call the mother and the organization who found him out a “terrorist”?
Hmm… What exactly is a terrorist? Let’s consult an expert – say the FBI. An FBI report on terrorism explains:
Terrorism is defined in the Code of Federal Regulations as ‘the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives’ (28 C.F.R. Section 0.85).
Since when has an investigation – that consists of words, questions, and a video camera, no less – been considered “violent”? In fact, neither the mother who questioned Santangelo nor any member of the Live Action team itself has made a single violent statement, much less committed a violent act. Violence is contrary to the very position of pro-life activists. We do not commit violence to achieve peace. We do not support violence to stop violence.
Santangelo – and other abortionists – are the ones who commit violence on a daily basis. They are the ones who cruelly suffocate an almost-born baby. They are the ones who basically behead a struggling newborn. They are the ones who, piece by bloody piece, pull a mutilated baby out of his mother’s once safe womb. They are the ones who use suction so strong, a developing baby crumples into a vacuum-like device, spine first. They are the ones who deny life-saving treatment to babies gasping for air, flailing their tiny arms, and silently begging for a chance at life.
Violence? Terrorism? We are not the ones who commit such atrocities. Instead, we speak out with all we have against violence – beginning with those who are the smallest, most innocent, and most helpless among us.
Stand with us as we call out abortion for what it is: an inhuman act of incredible violence against the most innocent victims possible. Sign our petition to stop the killing now! And join tomorrow’s #Inhuman TweetFest, exposing the violent truth behind America’s abortion industry.
