‘Pro-Life Spiderman’ arrested for unknown reasons during San Francisco protest

Maison DesChamps, better known as the Pro-Life Spiderman, was recently arrested for protesting outside UCSF’s Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, according to a press release from Pro-Life San Francisco.

DesChamps was with a group of other pro-life activists, with groups like Pro-Life San Francisco, Survivors.LA, Democrats For Life of America, Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU), and Pro-Life LGBTQ+.  The groups were protesting the harvesting of organs from abortion victims for research projects.

“I was arrested for peacefully protesting on public property, a clear violation of my First Amendment right,” DesChamps said in a statement. “The industrial abortion complex will use every resource available to stop us from exposing them, we cannot be intimidated. If they want us to stop protesting they should stop killing babies.”

There were 15 activists present, but DesChamps was the only one arrested. It is not presently clear why, as he was protesting peacefully.

Kristin Turner, executive director of Pro-Life San Francisco, said the groups will continue to speak on behalf of innocent life, despite intimidation tactics used against them.

“When I was served a restraining order by UCSF’s abortionist, Eleanor Drey, I knew that they expected the protests to end,” she said. “They want to silence us through fear, but they should know that is not going to work. This movement for ethical research is bigger than me. We won’t stop taking nonviolent action until they treat their unborn patients with dignity.”

Hayden Laye of Pro-Life LGBTQ+ added that the overuse of San Francisco police is an intentional effort, saying, “They consistently silence activists through arrests and threats of arrest, while simultaneously antagonizing those they are tasked with protecting. Speaking up for human life is not a crime, it’s our First Amendment right, and we will continue protesting until UCSF ends unethical fetal tissue research.”

DesChamps gained notoriety as the so-called “Pro-Life Spiderman,” scaling numerous skyscrapers without ropes or a net to hang pro-life banners and draw attention to the pro-life cause. Part of his efforts are also to call for Cesare Santangelo, the Washington, D.C. abortionist believed to be responsible for the deaths of five infants discovered by pro-life activists, to be arrested.

UCSF is also noteworthy as the facility where abortionists across the country have been trained, and has long been experimenting using the bodies of the preborn children they kill. They receive millions in taxpayer dollars for these experiments, and are led by Drey, who has also acknowledged that many preborn children are born alive during abortion attempts. These victims are frequently over 22 weeks gestation.
