Maryland abortionist sends three more women to the ER

Tyrone Malloy, the infamous Maryland abortionist with ties to late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart and a criminal history including jail time, sent at least three women to the emergency room (ER) in the last year.

Key Takeaways:

  • After Carhart's death, Malloy was hired as the medical director for Carhart's abortion facilities in both Nebraska and Maryland.

  • Malloy has no license to practice medicine in Nebraska, and his Maryland license is on probation.

  • He spent four years in prison due to Medicaid fraud.

  • Malloy also has numerous malpractice cases against him.

  • Three more medical emergencies have since been uncovered, two of which occurred after his license was put on probation.

The Details:

Operation Rescue reported that it has discovered three more medical emergencies occurring under Malloy, two of which happened within the last month. While the actual audio and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) reports were either not supplied or heavily redacted, Operation Rescue was able to obtain radio dispatch between first responders. This gave some insight into what happened.

The first occurred in August of 2025, when emergency services were dispatched to CARE Clinic for a patient suffering a hemorrhage.

Never miss the latest news in the fight for life.

The next two emergencies occurred within a week of each other. There was a 911 call on June 2, 2026, and the radio dispatch only called for "OBBLS," which could mean "obstetrical basic life support" or "ongoing basic life support."

Just three days later, on June 5, 2026, 911 was called again for a patient who was hemorrhaging.

Since the only "services" CARE Clinic offers are abortions, these emergencies could only be abortion-related.

Why It Matters:

Malloy has a long, troubling history, of which these injuries are just the latest example.

After his death, Carhart's daughter, Janine Weatherby, hired Malloy as his replacement, including at the abortion facility in Nebraska, even though Malloy isn't licensed to practice medicine there. Weatherby, who is not a doctor, told The Times, “In the wake of Carhart’s death, Dr. Tyrone Malloy took over as medical director. However, Malloy primarily operates out of the Maryland clinic as its main doctor.”

Malloy's scandal-ridden history includes a conviction for Medicaid fraud in 2014, for which he was sentenced to prison for four years. He served less than two years in prison, and afterwards, his medical license in Georgia was reinstated. His malpractice cases include the 1999 death of a newborn baby following a C-section and the 2008 death of a 23-year-old woman whose uterus and intestine he had perforated during a late-term abortion.

In May of 2026, not long before his two most recent medical emergencies, news broke that Malloy's license to practice medicine in Maryland had been put on probation as the result of a 2024 complaint from an emergency department physician that Malloy delivered "substandard care" for a third-trimester abortion patient.

After an investigation, the state also found deficiencies in his records, including failure to document the administration of medications and a patient's admission to the ER.
