Amazing: Live 4D ultrasound to be broadcast in Times Square

Times Square has been called the “Crossroads of the world” and is the well-known hub of the Broadway theatre district. And soon, the world’s second-most visited tourist attraction, which sees approximately 360,000 people pass through per day, will be broadcasting the humanity of the unborn via a live 4D ultrasound.

Focus on the Family, one of the most influential pro-life organizations in the country, announced the event in CBN’s interview with president Jim Daly Tuesday on Faith Nation: “We want to do everything in good taste. I think really what’s happened in New York and in Virginia has prompted a response,” Daly said. “We’re announcing May 4th in Times Square, we’re going to do an event […] We’ll have great speakers. We’re going to have music, but we’re also going to do a live ultrasound of a 3rd Trimester baby.”

Last month, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a measure into law that allows abortion through all stages of pregnancy and rescinds protections for babies born alive after an abortion. In a statement made at the time, Gov. Cuomo applauded the move: “With the signing of this bill, we are sending a clear message that whatever happens in Washington, women in New York will always have the fundamental right to control their own body.” Hailed as a victory by extreme pro-abortion advocates, the law has been widely condemned by faith leaders, and a recent Marist poll shows that only 25% of self-described pro-choice individuals favor abortion in all three trimesters of pregnancy.

In contrast to Cuomo’s position, Jim Daly discussed the ability to see the humanity of the unborn child with new ultrasound technology: “With the 4D technology that we have, it looks like a 1-year-old picture, a baby of a 1-year-old. It’s phenomenal, and there is no way a person going to be able to say, ‘That is not a child.’ It is a child and we want everybody to see it.”

Daly continued: “Lets see what an ultrasound looks like. I doubt that they have actually seen one. And so to be able to do that on the jumboscreen, to say, ‘Here’s a baby in the third trimester of pregnancy. Look at the definition. These children are viable outside the womb. These children are already fully human.’ And for the world to see that, and to do it in such a way that we can all peer into the womb and see what that child looks like […] What an awesome sight to see! Then these politicians will have to defend their position.”

Daly specifically cited the legislation in New York and in Virginia as the inspiration for this event. He described Virginia as, “promoting infanticide. Once a baby is born, if it’s not viable outside the womb or if it’s severely handicapped, they’re going to let that baby sit on a table and then the mother and a physician decide whether or not to let that baby live. That’s not the country we live in, and that’s not the law of the land, actually. So we want to raise this issue up […] Let’s show what it means to be family, what it means to be pro-life.”

Read NextLONDON, ENGLAND - APRIL 22: MP Kim Leadbeater joins assisted dying campaigners in Parliament Square on April 22, 2026 in London, England. The Terminally Ill (End of Life) Bill is due to be debated for a final day in the House of Lords on Friday, but is generally not expected to pass during the current session of Parliament. If made into law, it would give people who meet certain criteria in England and Wales the right to end their lives at a time of their choosing, subject to safeguards and protections. Supporters have said the bill, which passed the House of Commons last year, has been "slowed by procedural obstruction" in the House of Lords. Critics have raised concerns that the bill in its current form lacked sufficient safeguards for vulnerable people. (Photo by Dan Kitwood/Getty Images)
