‘Justice for the Five’ rallies happening this week in DC

Last week, the bodies of five children likely aborted late in gestation were turned over to Metropolitan Police in Washington, D.C., by pro-life activists from Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU). Medical experts claim the children may have been killed by illegal methods, but D.C. authorities are refusing to investigate their deaths. This week, in response to the inaction of authorities, pro-life groups will hold two rallies seeking “Justice for the Five.”

On Tuesday morning, PAAU held a press conference regarding their recovery of the bodies. They stated that they obtained the box containing the bodies of 115 children in total from the driver of a Curtis Bay Medical Waste Services truck outside of the Washington Surgi-Clinic, operated by abortionist Cesare Santangelo. They held a Mass and burial for the 110 first-trimester babies, and contacted law enforcement regarding the bodies of the five other children, which appeared to be potential crime victims. All of the children were given names.

Missy Smith, who spoke at the press conference, alleges that these children were destined to be incinerated to create energy for the city of Baltimore. “If you live in the Baltimore area, you must know that aborted babies have been burned to keep your lights on and your house warm. We call on Curtis Bay Energy to end this barbaric practice, and confirm publicly that they have done so.”

Curtis Bay Energy denies all allegations.

Later the same day, 23 senators and members of Congress signed a letter to Mayor Muriel Bowser and Police Chief Robert J. Contee III demanding a proper investigation followed by a dignified burial for each child. So far, there has been no response from D.C. authorities.

On Wednesday, PAAU announced that it would host a “rally to call on D.C. Mayor to comply with [c]ongressional demand[s].” According to their press release, “In anticipation that [C]ongress will be ignored, activists will rally to ensure the voices of progress are heard, Santangelo is held to account, and that justice for these babies prevails.”

The rally will be held Thursday, April 7th at 11am at Mayor Bowser’s office, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, D.C.

On Friday, April 8th, at 9:00 am, Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust and Stanton Public Policy Center/Purple Sash Revolution are hosting a rally outside of the Washington, D.C., medical examiner’s office and morgue where the babies are being kept, at 401 E St SW, Washington, DC.

All pro-life allies are invited to attend both events. You may also call Mayor Bowser directly to demand an investigation at (202) 727-2643.
