When will politicians, or at least the intern who runs their account, learn that lying on this platform doesn’t work anymore?

Elon Musk calls out Kamala Harris for ‘lying’ about Trump’s abortion position
Elon Musk, the owner of X (formerly Twitter), has called out Vice President Kamala Harris for “lying” on Monday about former President Donald Trump’s position on the implementation of a national law protecting preborn babies from abortion.
In a post on X, Harris said, “Donald Trump would ban abortion nationwide. President @JoeBiden and I will do everything in our power to stop him and restore women’s reproductive freedom.”
A Community Note that countered Harris’ claim and included information from CNN, BBC, The Associated Press, The New York Times, and Trump himself proved Harris’ X post was inaccurate. That Community Note disappeared later in the day on Monday, according to The Hill.
But Musk himself went after Harris for “lying” on X, saying, “When will politicians, or at least the intern who runs their account, learn that lying on this platform doesn’t work anymore?”
In addition to his post, Musk commented directly on Harris’ post, saying, “He clearly said he would not do so in the debate.”
Trump has repeatedly said he would not sign a national pro-life law to protect preborn children from abortion. During last week’s debate with President Biden, Trump was asked if he would block access to the abortion pill. He replied in part, “…I will not block it.”
He also recently said on Truth Social, “My view is now that we have abortion where everybody wanted it from a legal standpoint, the states will determine by vote or legislation or perhaps both. And whatever they decide must be the law of the land — in this case, the law of the state.”
An Associated Press report used to prove Harris wrong is titled, “Trump declines to endorse a national abortion ban. He says limits should be left to the states.”
After Musk called out Harris, the Biden campaign linked to a previous report on Trump privately stating that he would support a national law protecting preborn children from abortion beginning at 16 weeks. “Elon Musk can Google it: Donald Trump wants to ban abortion nationwide, allow his allies to ban medication abortion and contraception, and use the power of the government to harass and punish women,” said campaign spokesperson James Singer.
