Jen Psaki, former Biden White House Press Secretary, has once again used her MSNBC show, “Inside With Jen Psaki,” to attack and minimize the humanity of preborn children.
Psaki was discussing a meeting that occurred between some Senate Republicans and strategists. Indiana Senator Todd Young had described the focus of the meeting as “pro-baby,” saying he came up with the label on his own in order “to demonstrate my concern for babies.” Psaki decided that Young must be part of an effort to rebrand the pro-life movement as ‘pro-baby’, and she refuses to admit that preborn human beings are babies.
“The GOP is in a bit of a pickle,” said Psaki. “And they know it.”
Never miss the latest news in the fight for life.
She continued with information on “a closed door meeting” where Senate Republicans discussed polling that claimed that the term “pro-life” no longer resonates with voters. If it isn’t resonating with voters, that’s likely because the media has been slandering the pro-life movement for years with biased reporting. Psaki then claimed pro-life politicians are “seeking a rebrand.”
She said, “Pro-life now becomes pro-baby. Pro-baby. Ok, I hate to break it to you, but if you call broccoli candy, it’s still just broccoli. If you tie a really nice bow around a lump of coal, it is still coal under there.” She slammed the GOP’s pro-life platform as “anti-rights, anti-choice, anti-women.”
But being pro-life means that you support the right to life first and foremost, above all other rights — because without that right, no other rights can exist. This is not being “anti-rights.” Opposing the choice to kill innocent human beings is not being “anti-choice” but opposes that killing, specifically, as an illegitimate act. This is not being “anti-choice.” Being pro-life means that you wish to support women through their pregnancy and parenting and offer them tangible help instead of killing their child as a solution to any given circumstance. This is not being “anti-woman.”

A preborn child’s heart begins to beat at approximately 21 days post-fertilization. By four weeks post-fertilization, the preborn child (which Psaki compares to “coal”) already has lungs forming, and her brain hemispheres have developed. Her kidneys are also in place. By six weeks, she has a recognizable face which withdraws from light touch around her mouth, according to the Endowment for Human Development. By six weeks and two days, brainwaves have begun, and by seven weeks she can move her hands and all four heart chambers are present. By 10 weeks, she has fingernails and toenails growing, her fingerprints have formed, and she can yawn. This is all before she even enters the second trimester.
Psaki, however, dehumanizes every preborn human being by comparing them to “coal” and “broccoli.” Such comments are discriminatory, cruel to parents and children, and dehumanizing.
Recently, Psaki also wrongly claimed, “No one is selling late-term abortions.” But it is easy to debunk this idea if one pays any attention at all to the abortion industry itself:
📣 DuPont Clinic is thrilled to announce that we are expanding to Los Angeles, California! We plan to open Fall 2023 under the leadership of @famplanObGyn. The need for all-trimester abortion care has never been greater.🧵
Both Vice President Kamala Harris and California Gov. Gavin Newsom recently refused to admit that abortion on demand through pregnancy is the goal of policies that would ‘codify Roe.’ They know polling shows that most Americans support restrictions on abortion so they won’t admit that abortion is already being committed throughout pregnancy for any reason — and that the pro-abortion plan is to increase access to late abortions.
Pro-life politicians are not “in a pickle.” Americans who are pro-life understand what it means to be pro-life. Meanwhile, pro-choice Americans are being led astray as to what it means to be pro-choice, because pro-abortion politicians purposefully avoid answering when they would restrict abortion at all during pregnancy. While pro-abortion policies open the door to abortion for any reason through pregnancy, politicians seek to avoid admitting this.
