40 Days for Life fall campaign begins

Today, September 26, the fall 40 Days for Life campaign begins. This is the largest campaign ever, with 316 locations in 15 nations around the world. There are 40 new cities participating since the last campaign in the spring. This is an enormously powerful campaign that has had a lot of unexpected success since it began in 2007. The results have been astounding…hundreds and hundreds of lives saved every campaign, abortion workers leaving their jobs to join our side (as in the case of Abby Johnson), several abortion clinics closing their doors, and a mobilized and powerful pro-life community actively fighting abortion. This is where the pro-life battle has the most impact. This is what everyone can participate in that has direct results in dismantling the culture of death. Many lives are being saved through the efforts of courageous and committed people all over the world. If you are pro-life, I urge you to participate in this campaign. Remember the line from Edmund Burke: “All that is required for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing.”

This is where we can concretely match the evil of abortion. We fight the violence of abortion with peace, with prayer, with joy, with love; we fight the pain of abortion with compassion, with reaching out to desperate mothers, offering them genuine solutions to their crises. The other side does not have a weapon anywhere close to as powerful as what we have here, and it’s saving many lives! Whatever you can give to participate in this campaign is going to be absolutely worth it.
