University of Missouri caves, enters new contracts with Planned Parenthood
Following the release of undercover videos implicating illegal actions by Planned Parenthood officials, the University of Missouri cancelled ten contracts with the abortion provider. But after pressure from Planned Parenthood supporters including on-campus protests and petitions, the University has entered new contracts with the organization, which will allow nursing students to once again train at Planned Parenthood facilities.
The University of Missouri has a long-standing relationship with Planned Parenthood, sending its nursing students to gain clinical experience at the organization’s facilities. But earlier this year, the University’s relationship with the abortion giant came under scrutiny, as the Missouri Senate Interim Committee on the Sanctity of Life launched an investigation into Planned Parenthood’s operations in Missouri.

The University of Missouri is not the only educational institution with ties to Planned Parenthood. Entrusted with the responsibility of training the next generation of medical professionals, medical schools of all kinds should look for better organizations to send their students for training – organizations without Planned Parenthood’s history of medical and legal wrongdoing.
