San Diego Walk for Life to mark the 40th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade

The year 2013 brings the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision on Roe v. Wade. On January 19, 2013, the first ever San Diego Walk for Life will mark the anniversary. Participants will walk to celebrate the gift of life. In addition, they will have the opportunity to view scientific facts showing that human life begins at conception.

“The people will continue to stand for the unborn,” said Mary Moran, the event coordinator for San Diego Walk for Life, “where women’s reproductive rights are respected and protected because everyone, starting at conception until natural death, deserves to live.”

One speaker for the event is Dr. Jim Garlow, the senior pastor of Skyline Church, Rancho San Diego. Garlow commented that “history will be hard on pro-abortionists…” because they are morally wrong. “Someday there will be tours of the abortuaries in America, the present-day killing center. And tourists will ask, ‘where was the church? Why were people silent?’ I do not want them to be referring to me. I will not be silent.”

Charmaine Yoest, president and CEO of Americas United for Life, as well as Dran Reese, director of the Salt and Light Council, will also speak at the event.

The family-friendly event begins at 9am on January 19, 2013 at Balboa Park. You can find more information the event here.
