Pro-abortion students tell pro-life students to ‘kill themselves’ at college booth

Pro-life college students involved with Students of Life for America (SFLA) were assaulted recently at the University of Missouri, where a student told them they should “kill themselves.”

The pro-life students had a display set up as part of SFLA’s Abortion is Not Right campus tour. According to an SFLA blog post, an hour and a half into the pro-life tour, a large crowd of abortion supporters had gathered to protest both the display and a preacher who was speaking against abortion.

Police were eventually called to maintain order, though that didn’t stop the crowd from harassing the pro-life students. SFLA reports that some students ripped and tore down the display panels, while others turned the panels around so that they weren’t viewable. One student stole the pro-life materials and threw them in the trash.

At least one pro-abortion student told the pro-lifers that they should kill themselves.

“I was heartbroken to see how few people were genuinely willing to have a conversation, and instead, hurled vicious insults at the students and me,” said SFLA Missouri and Arkansas Regional Coordinator Nicole Hollman. “Between the guy telling us to all go kill ourselves, the several people who said they wish they had been aborted, or the group of nursing students who all believed that the baby doesn’t have rights until the umbilical cord is cut (yes, they truly all agreed they would be comfortable killing the baby after birth if the cord was still attached to the woman), I found the campus to be in a very dark and tragic place. As a Mizzou graduate myself, I was deeply saddened to see how little the culture there valued life, both preborn AND born.”

Vandalism and abuse against pro-life advocates are not uncommon on college campuses. Just this month, students at a pro-life display table were attacked at a University of Iowa student engagement fair, while an abortion activist threw urine at pro-life students at the College of William & Mary in Virginia. As pro-lifers continue to advocate for the protection of life at all stages, abortion supporters are routinely showing their true colors, even going so far as to desire death for those who don’t agree with them.
