Planned Parenthood Advocates of Virginia, Inc. has launched “Bros for Repro” to pull men into its fight for unlimited abortion.

PPAVA is working with male Virginia legislators — one of whom is a pastor — to influence other men to support all access abortion.

Fathers have an incredible influence over a mother’s decision to abort or keep and parent their baby.

Research shows that whether negative or positive, the male partner’s feelings and reaction to a pregnancy play a major role in a woman’s abortion decision.

Planned Parenthood knows the men hold this influence and want to abuse it to increase abortions.

Statistically, a woman is more likely to have an abortion if she feels she doesn’t have the support of the father. Research has shown that the baby’s father has the most influence over a woman’s abortion decision.

A Lifeway Research survey of 1,000 men whose partners had an abortion found that 54% of the men had encouraged or urged abortion and 31% of men gave no advice — leaving women to feel the fathers were indifferent or that they were alone in their so-called “freedom to choose.”

A 2021 study revealed, “Whether negative or positive, the partner’s reaction to the pregnancy is significant across the young women’s accounts… The baby’s father was the first person they tell of their pregnancy, and across the stories, the young women’s decision about whether to abort or carry on was influenced by the partner’s feelings and reactions.”

Another study found that teens who had abortions did so because of pressure placed on them by other people – either by their parents or the father of the baby. Two of the 11 teens who aborted said that they did so because the babies’ fathers wanted them to.
