More Americans have a negative view of Planned Parenthood, Gallup poll reveals
Despite the media’s very best efforts, the scandals surrounding Planned Parenthood have had an impact on public perception. The abortion giant’s legacy of lawbreaking, cover-up of child sexual abuse, abetting of sex-traffickers, manipulation, selling of baby parts, and other questionable practices have led to an increasing negative view of the group.
A new Gallup poll has found that Americans who have a negative view of the abortion business is higher than ever before. The number of Americans who see Planned Parenthood as “very unfavorable” increased drastically, from 4 percent in 1989 to 23 percent in 2015.
The percentage of respondents who see Planned Parenthood as “very favorable” is also at its lowest since 1989. Gallup reports:
Although still positive overall, Americans’ current opinions of Planned Parenthood are considerably less favorable than they were in 1993 — the last time Gallup asked about the organization — when 81% viewed it favorably.
The group polled Americans about their views of Planned Parenthood three times: in 1989, in 1993, and in the newest survey conducted October 7-11.

Together, we can end abortion and create a future where every child is cherished and every mother is supported.
The most recent poll comes amid significant focus on the organization in the news and throughout social media. The organization’s president recently testified on Capitol Hill, largely in response to an anti-abortion group’s release of secretly recorded videos that purported to show Planned Parenthood employees discussing potential sales of fetal tissue it recovers from abortions. Planned Parenthood denies these allegations, and has said that the videos were highly edited. The controversy has led to thus-far-unsuccessful efforts by Republicans in Congress to strip Planned Parenthood of its federal funding.
Gallup isn’t the only polling company to find that opinions of Planned Parenthood are becoming more negative.
A series of polls conducted by Quinnipiac University have likewise found that Planned Parenthood’s favorable ratings have been plummeting — despite the fact that Planned Parenthood has been spending more than ever on marketing and fundraising.
Why would any of this be surprising? Planned Parenthood has rejected actual health care for abortions — and is is vastly outnumbered by comprehensive health clinics.
They have been caught killing babies born alive after abortions, and selling their body parts. They consistently break the law, and lie to women. Planned Parenthood was able to hide their true face from the world for a long time, but they can’t do it any longer — and the more that people find out about Planned Parenthood, the less they like them.
