Man changes mind on abortion: From ‘a woman’s got a right’ to ‘it’s like killing a person’

Live Action recently premiered another Man on the Street interview video, this one on-location in Philadelphia, in which a man initially expresses support for abortion, saying, “a woman’s got a right over her body,” only to later change his mind and say, “It’s like killing a person or something….”

When asked his thoughts about abortion, the man stated, “Well, I don’t know too much about it, but I’m for it because I believe a woman’s got the right to… you know… over her body.”

He also responded in the affirmative when asked if he knew how an abortion was performed. “Yeah… yeah. It’s kinda graphic. It shouldn’t be available all the way up to birth — that’s like killing a person. It should be, like, first three months, I think.”

Then the man views a video of a first trimester D&C suction aspiration abortion. Watch his reaction:

As the man watches, he winces as if in pain, and shakes his head as if disgusted by what he is seeing. “Still kinda gross to me,” he says afterward. “I don’t like to see it.”

When the interviewer tells him, “What you watched was an abortion procedure within the first three months of pregnancy…” the man asks, “That was the first three months?”

Then he says, “Well, you know, I kinda want to take that back, because I didn’t know the baby had got that far [in development], you know, and then they crushed it like that. It looked pretty bad… uh…”

The interviewer then shows the man a flyer featuring photos of preborn children in the first trimester, week by week.

“They should be doing it before the baby’s developed that much — that’s what I think,” he says after viewing the photos. Then he states that “around week four” is where he would personally place a limit on abortion.

“I don’t think it’s right… ’cause the baby went that far and then they just go ahead and do it at 13 weeks,” he says. “It’s like killing a person or something.” Watch the first trimester D&C video this man saw below:

The interviewer continues the conversation from there, asking the man if it’s like killing a person at 13 weeks, why it wouldn’t be like killing a person at four weeks. He responds, “Well, it hasn’t fully developed yet.”

Then they have an exchange in which he acknowledges that even a born baby isn’t fully developed yet. After that discussion, he says he would consider supporting “a total ban,” adding that the video has changed his mind about abortion.

The DOJ put a pro-life grandmother in jail for protesting the killing of preborn children. Please take 30-seconds to TELL CONGRESS: STOP THE DOJ FROM TARGETING PRO-LIFE AMERICANS.
