The pro-abortion website INeedAnA.com is encouraging minors to travel out of state (even suggesting air travel) to obtain abortions behind their parents' backs.

"With 3 non-personally-identifiable pieces of information (that we don’t collect or store), we’re able to give people seeking abortions the information most relevant to them. This means there are a ton of different experiences you could get on ineedana.com," the website states.

The group's website page, "A Teen’s Guide to Accessing Abortion" writes:

There are currently 23 states that require parental notification or consent when a minor is seeking an abortion -- these are called parental involvement laws. In most states, a legal minor is someone who is under 18 years old. The requirements for parental involvement laws depend on your state and the clinic. In some states it means the clinic would have to notify your parent or legal guardian. In others, it means your parent or legal guardian must be with you at the clinic to sign consent forms.

Then the group presents minors with multiple options: "Can’t get or don’t want to involve your parents with this decision? You can request judicial bypass, or consider traveling to a nearby state without parental involvement laws," and "If you’re getting an abortion in one of these states, these organizations can help:"

The group then links to judicial bypass hotlines in various states along with abortion funds, legal groups, and others, including Jane's Due Process, a group previously highlighted by Live Action News. An Instagram post (see below) from May 1, 2023, clearly states the group’s willingness to not only fund the travel of a minor but even to “schedule” the minor's appointment and “book” travel for her.

Abortion organizations, businesses, and funding groups are taking part in what has been dubbed “abortion trafficking” by openly enticing minor children to cross state lines to obtain an abortion. While “abortion trafficking” may not rise to the level of sex trafficking in the minds of some, the idea of a child being enticed away from the protection of their family by a stranger for any reason is disturbing.

Abortion is a business which profits from increasing clients — but many feel that perfect strangers arranging for children to travel across state lines without parental knowledge is reminiscent of child sexual predators utilizing social media and other nefarious tools and promises to take advantage of innocent teens.

In 2022, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received 19,000 reports of possible child sex trafficking alone.

Two Options: Abortion Drugs or Out-of-State Travel

INeedAnA tells minors they have "two other options to consider," which include:

• Having medication abortion pills sent to your home (or to a trusted friend/family member) and having an abortion at home.

• Traveling to a state that does not have parental involvement laws, so you can consent to your own abortion without your parents' or a judge's permission.

• The website claims that not all virtual abortion pill providers will mail to minors: "Depends on the provider. Several online clinics will mail to people under 18."

According to the virtual abortion dispensary Abortion On Demand (AOD), “Some states have strict rules about minors getting abortions. There are also federal rules about how old you must be to consent for our payment platform.”

Therefore, AOD only accepts “clients who are 18 years” old and pregnant up to 56 days’ (8 weeks) gestation.

A video uploaded by INeedAnA walks minors through their "Practicality Sort" process, which they claim will not "ask for any identifying information and we don't store what you enter."

In the video above, the narrator uses Texas as an example to explain how a teen in that state can get an abortion.

"If you're a teen in Texas you'll see three options: Driving to an out-of-state clinic in Kansas, ordering pills online, or flying to another state."

The narrator goes onto to point out, "We rank New Mexico higher than Kansas for Texas teens because New Mexico doesn't require parental consent, making it more practical."

Online searches indicate that minors can purchase airline tickets, however, each airline has specific requirements for an unaccompanied minor.

According to the TSA, "TSA has developed modified screening procedures for children who appear to be 12 years old and younger. TSA officers will consult parents or the traveling guardian about the child’s screening" but adds that "TSA standard screening procedures apply for children 13 years and older. Carry-on property of all passengers, regardless of age, must be screened. All passengers who alarm will undergo additional screening."

In addition to commercial airlines, there is also concern that minors could be referred to pro-abortion pilots operated by Elevated Access who could potentially fly minors out-of-state on a private plane with fewer safety protections.

Who is INeedAnA?

INeedAnA describes itself as a group of "designers and engineers that research, report, and seek to improve how people get abortions in the United States."

The group's founder and director is Rebecca Nall, according to her LinkedIn page where she says "As a side project, I designed and built ineedana.com — the first comprehensive, mobile-first, and consistently up-to-date website for people seeking abortion care in the United States."

Daniel Nall's LinkedIn has him listed as a "Technical Co-founder."

Former Planned Parenthood medical assistant Hannah Schleis reveals on her Linkedin page that she is a "data manager" for INeedAnA. Holly Gressley shows on her LinkedIn page that she is a "Product Designer," and David Dunlop reveals he is a "Software Engineer."

Nall's attitude regarding parental authority and the laws that promote it is striking. She told Teen Vogue:

The states have really gone after minors even worse [than adults]. Minors are the real canary in the coal mine [for abortion access] everywhere.

We see these laws popping up in Idaho, where people can be criminalized for helping a minor get out of state [for an abortion]. It is an absolutely BS law, but it's on the books. Tennessee has one similarly. [Editor's Note: The Idaho law is currently being challenged in court, but remains partially in effect. The Tennessee law is currently blocked as a lawsuit makes its way through the courts.]

But [there's a] chilling effect that these laws have, and they really, really, really impact people under 18 significantly more.

Funding has also been issued by the "Women's Health Co-Lab" which, according to ICONIQ Capital, was created with funding from "Melinda French Gates, Jennifer Gates Nassar, and Phoebe Gates, and 14 other donors" with the intent to "mobilize $100 million to improve the health and agency of millions of women and girls around the world across three focus areas: maternal health, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and gender-based violence. The announcement was made at the 2025 Forbes Impact Summit."

While INeedAnA.com promotes abortion as "safe," it, like others, is protect itself by advising its abortion pill clients to lie or withhold medical information when in need of emergency care, writing:
