It’s good that the judge can understand the error he made in dropping that particular charge. But what about the rest? What was it that made Judge Minehart decide to reinstate that charge and not the others? Staffers have repeatedly testified about seeing the babies cry, scream, breathe, and move. Especially baffling is how the charges of abuse of a corpse could be dropped, considering that Gosnell was storing severed feet in jars in his clinic. What more evidence do you need? Why is the testimony of Gosnell’s staffers good enough to reinstate the murder charge for the killing of one baby, but not the others? Frankly, it just doesn’t make any sense, and it is a huge miscarriage of justice.

What is the message we are sending in this trial? If Gosnell is not found guilty, and allowed to go free, we will be telling the world that it’s acceptable to murder newborn babies, butcher women, and practice in a squalid house of horrors. Already Gosnell is being acquitted of some of the atrocities he committed. Will he be acquitted of the rest, as well?
