European Parliament member Miroslav Mikolášik has written to the European Commission, calling on the body to wash its hands of the abortion giant.

Noting that Planned Parenthood is “a major recipient of EU funds for development aid,” he asks if the commission is “aware of this practice and the video evidence produced by the Centre for Medical Progress, which points to the direct involvement of Planned Parenthood abortion facilities in illegal trafficking of human body parts,” and will “condemn this practice and suspend all direct or indirect funding of Planned Parenthood facilities, projects or programmes until such time as US authorities have carried out a thorough investigation of the matter.”

He also would like to know whether the body will oppose Planned Parenthood’s request to join the Commission’s “lawsuit against the ONE OF US European Citizen initiative,” a movement dedicated to “unconditional recognition of the inherent and inalienable human dignity as a source of human freedoms and citizens’ rights,” and legal protection of that life in all stages, including “conception and gestation, childhood, maternity, illness, disability, old age and end of life.”

ADF notes that the “European Commission typically has up to six weeks to provide answers to questions that MEPs submit.”
