ALERT: Pro-life protests set for Saturday at Planned Parenthood in Louisville

Pro-lifers in the Louisville, Kentucky, area will be coming together this Saturday at 10 am to protest at Planned Parenthood’s new office at 842 S. 7th St.

The demonstrators intend to call on the state government to forbid Planned Parenthood from performing abortions in Louisville. Organizers have said they expect hundreds to attend.

Organizations participating in the event include Silent No More, Created Equal, Pro-Life Action League, Kentucky Right to Life, Indiana Right to Life, Family Foundation, Kentucky Pastors in Action Coalition, Commonwealth Policy Center, A Woman’s Choice Pregnancy Resource Center, Little Way Pregnancy Center, More Grace Ministries, Pro-Life Future, and Sisters for Life.

Together, we can end abortion and create a future where every child is cherished and every mother is supported.

“Planned Parenthood claims to care about women’s health,” said Angela Minter of Sisters for Life. “And yet they began performing abortions without measures in place to protect women when something goes wrong.”

The demonstration follows Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin ordering the facility to stop performing abortions due to medical deficiencies in their permit application. Planned Parenthood claims it was authorized to continue abortions by the previous administration, but Bevin maintains, “They are unlicensed, they are doing it knowingly, and they are going to be brought to justice on this front.”

As previously reported, “Planned Parenthood has agreed to cease abortions at the location pending a final decision from the Inspector General’s office.”
