Above the Law: Why America Doesn’t Need Planned Parenthood

planned parenthood giantAccording to pro-abortion activists, we need Planned Parenthood.

They’ll rattle off a list of reasons – naming all of the supposed good that the organization does – and bury abortion somewhere near the bottom of that list. But the truth is that Planned Parenthood is an evil organization, chiefly concerned with one thing and one thing only: making money from the killing of unborn children. Nowhere can this truth be more evident than by their consistent attitude of being above the law.

Time and time again, they’ve been caught in blatant criminal activity.

Live Action began undercover investigations of Planned Parenthood in 2007, and what was found was truly disturbing. Eight clinics around the country were willing to cover up sexual abuse, in violation of mandatory statutory rape reporting laws. Another undercover investigation found seven clinics willing to aid and abet child sex trafficking. And while abortion advocates shrug the videos off as fake or doctored, the facts don’t bear that out. Planned Parenthood has repeatedly been caught doing the kind of illicit activities reported in our undercover investigations.

A Planned Parenthood clinic in Philadelphia was caught covering up multiple instances of child rape. When 40-year-old Adam Gault impregnated teenager Danielle Cramer after kidnapping her and holding her captive for over a year, he took her to Planned Parenthood, where they performed an abortion and then delivered her back into Gault’s hands.

Another disturbing case involved a 13-year-old girl being repeatedly abused by her stepfather. He took her to Planned Parenthood for an abortion, and the abuse went unreported yet again. She continued to be sexually abused for another seven months.

Time and again, the story is the same. A Planned Parenthood clinic in San Francisco also covered up the rape of an 11-year-old girl. A Cincinnati Planned Parenthood was sued by a teenage girl after she told them she was being sexually abused by her father, and they did nothing – she continued to be abused for another 18 months. And this clinic was the second Ohio Planned Parenthood sued for the same reason. Another teenager had sued after Planned Parenthood performed an abortion on her – violating the state parental notification law, and failing to report that she was a victim of rape.

investigate planned parenthoodWhile not directly linked to Planned Parenthood, the former director of the National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Association (NFPRHA), Scott Richard Swirling, was arrested in a child sex sting. Planned Parenthood affiliates are included as NFPRHA members.

As if that weren’t enough, Planned Parenthood has been caught in blatant law-breaking in Wisconsin by violating the WisconsinEye user agreement not just once, but twice. They were also forced to pay millions after a whistleblower reported that they were fraudulently billing Medicaid.

So sure – it would be incredibly easy to brush off Live Action’s investigations of Planned Parenthood’s repeated willingness to break the law, if Planned Parenthood would just, I don’t know, stop breaking the law so much. The worst part is that these are just some of the instances that we know about, the times that Planned Parenthood has been caught. Many of the victims are young girls who need protection and help but instead are further victimized by a heartless organization out for blood money and nothing else.

Is this what America needs? We deserve better than this evil entity.
