Live Action Launches “Until It Ends” on Dobbs Anniversary
Emphasizes the Sacrifice, Service, and Resolve Needed to End Abortion in America
Washington, D.C. – On the anniversary of the landmark Dobbs v. Jackson decision, Live Action, one of the nation’s leading human rights organizations, launches “Until It Ends” an annual campaign that includes fasting and volunteering to end abortion nationwide.
This new 40-day campaign calls pro-life Americans to move beyond complacency and commit to sustained sacrifice and action until abortion is unthinkable. Although Dobbs overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022, the number of abortions in the United States has not declined. Chemical abortions (known as the abortion pill) now account for 65% of all abortions in the country, mostly via dangerous telehealth services.
Lila Rose, founder and president of Live Action, released the following statement:
“Until It Ends is our call to prayer, sacrifice, and action until abortion is abolished and every preborn child is completely protected from the violence of abortion. Abortion is the direct killing of innocent children. Our mission is to extend the 14th Amendment’s guarantee of equal protection to every child, born and preborn, and to build a nation where every mother and child is loved and protected.
The overturning of Roe v. Wade was a historic victory, but it was not the end of abortion in America. For 40 days, we will give up something to remind us of what we lose every day to abortion, pairing it with concrete service for mothers and children through prayer, advocacy, pregnancy center support, sidewalk counseling, and public witness. With faith, we will keep fighting until abortion is completely abolished.”
Beginning today and running through August 2 each year, participants will give up a meaningful daily comfort, such as coffee, social media, streaming services, fast food, or video games. They will also pair that sacrifice with concrete pro-life actions, including:
Volunteering at a pregnancy resource center
Peaceful sidewalk outreach or public witness
Supporting a pregnant mother in need with items or financial support
Hosting small group gatherings to recruit and encourage others
Every participant signs a public pledge and commits to at least one ongoing act of service. They can post their commitment on social media using the campaign hashtag #UntilItEnds and tagging @LiveAction.
