Abortion Pill Exposed: Live Action Press Conference on Capitol Hill
Lila Rose, Congressional Leaders, and Experts Call for Nationwide Ban on January 22
Washington, D.C. – On January 22, Live Action, one of the nation’s leading human rights organizations, will host a press conference titled “Abortion Pill Exposed” on Capitol Hill. The event will highlight the grave dangers posed by chemical abortion drugs, which account for more than 60% of all abortions in the United States, and underscore the urgent need for federal legislation to prohibit their use.
A recent study from the Ethics and Public Policy Center states that 1 in 10 women who take the abortion pill will end up in the emergency room with severe complications, such as hemorrhaging or sepsis.
At Thursday’s press conference, Rose will present findings from Live Action’s recent investigation, release a white paper, and deliver a policy memo. Experts will share more information on the harmful effects of mifepristone, and one speaker will provide a compelling personal testimony.
