It’s ironic to commemorate the birthday of the organization that has, since 1970, prevented seven million babies from seeing their own birthdays because they were aborted first. Planned Parenthood, who killed 327,000 babies last year alone, turns 99 today.
October 16, 1916, Margaret Sanger, along with her sister and a friend, opened the first Planned Parenthood in Brooklyn, New York. New York City is the abortion capitol of American now, something Sanger would be proud of knowing. Sanger was known for her support of racist and eugenic views. In 1921, Sanger wrote in Birth Control Review about the importance of eugenics:
If we can summon the bravery to do this, we shall best be serving the true interests of Eugenics, because our work will then have a practical and pragmatic value.
Planned Parenthood honors Sanger, as it notes on its webpage:
Planned Parenthood is rooted in the courage and tenacity of American women and men willing to fight for women’s health, rights, and equality. Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, is one of the movement’s great heroes.
The irony of the abortion giant’s statements cannot be lost on anyone who understands real courage and tenacity. The woman who rejects abortion and carries her baby, placing him or her for adoption, is courageous and tenacious. But Planned Parenthood doesn’t tell women that.
The abortion profiteer transitioned from birth control and racist eugenics to abortion on demand, and has deprived more than seven million children a chance at life since 1970.
And make no mistake: this is a business. With millions of dollars in revenue each year, the abortion provider stays in business because it pays. This year, the nation has learned a new aspect of its profiteering in the trade of baby body parts. With the 327,000 babies it killed in its last reported year alone, it’s not hard to see how much money comes from their “noble” business of empowering women.
The practical and pragmatic value to Planned Parenthood today is those millions of dollars of profit, and those pie pans filled with baby parts ready to sell.
It may be Planned Parenthood’s 99th birthday, but today is a tragic day for the nation. It’s the day that Americans must realize it has allowed the leader in death to live and thrive for 99 years.
The light in the darkness, however, is that now the veil is lifted and Congress is looking behind it. Perhaps if the outcry is loud enough, the leading broker for death will be the one who dies before its 100th birthday.
The greatest tragedy would be if one year from today the nation were reading bold pink headlines celebrating 100 years of Planned Parenthood. Every year that passes means the deaths of hundreds of thousands of preborn babies.
And that’s something Planned Parenthood continues to celebrate, under the guise of “women’s health.”
