The Food and Drug Administration must pull this deadly drug from the market.

Thanks to the Ethics and Public Policy Center’s bombshell report, the truth has become clear: Millions of innocent children have been killed by the abortion pill, mifepristone, and over 10% of women who take it suffer serious, sometimes life-threatening, complications — a rate 22 times higher than the FDA’s claim of just 0.5%.

• This is the largest-ever study of the abortion pill, analyzing 865,727 chemical abortions from 2017 to 2023. Each number is not just a statistic — it is a child lost forever.

• The study reveals that over one in ten patients experience at least one serious adverse event.

• By contrast, the current FDA-approved drug label is based on the results of 10 clinical trials with a total of 30,966 women, less than 0.5 percent of whom reportedly experienced severe adverse reactions. Some of these trials were conducted as long as 42 years ago.

This report shows that the abortion pill is not medicine. It is a lethal drug that kills an innocent child and endangers his/her mother.

Moreover, a significant lack of regulation surrounding the abortion pill has made it easier than ever for people to get their hands on these deadly drugs, regardless of state laws. This includes family members and partners seeking to coerce or force women and girls to abort.

The FDA has abandoned its duty to protect women and children, fast-tracking mifepristone through lies and stripping away even the most basic safety measures.

This is not healthcare. It is reckless, it is violent, and it must end. Mifepristone should not merely be regulated — it must be pulled from the market and banned outright.
