Possible abortion injury reported near Colorado Planned Parenthood
Operation Rescue has confirmed a suspicious 911 call which may be related to an abortion injury occurring at the Planned Parenthood in Fort Collins, Colorado. That facility was responsible for the death of 18-year-old Lexi Arguello after a botched abortion last year.
A 911 call in Fort Collins, Colorado, reported injuries from a 23-year-old woman who may have been experiencing abortion complications.
The Fort Collins Planned Parenthood has injured at least 10 women in the past year, and last year was responsible for the death of 18-year-old Lexi Arguello.
Despite the numerous injuries, the state of Colorado does not require abortion businesses to meet licensing standards or safety requirements.
According to the Operation Rescue investigation, public dispatch records show a 911 call was made on Friday, June 12 from a Days Inn motel in Fort Collins. The 23-year-old female victim reportedly “had an operation earlier [that day]” and needed emergency care for “stomach pain and severe vaginal bleeding.”
The EMS code for this injury was “Delta Medical,” indicating a severe or life-threatening event. Responding units also indicated a need for blood, possibly indicating a blood transfusion was necessary. First responders reportedly needed help from Days Inn staff to gain access to the room, as the woman was unable to get up and answer the door.
Operation Rescue speculates that this injury could be linked to the Fort Collins Planned Parenthood, which is just six miles from the hotel. Local sidewalk counselors confirm that the Fort Collins Planned Parenthood commits abortions on Fridays.
The motel's location along I-25 in an area of low-cost hotels, is reportedly known for human trafficking.
Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, stated:
“It seems very possible that this woman was experiencing an abortion complication, and who knows what else. Colorado officials have done all they can to turn their state into an abortion destination — or, as we call it, an abortion devastation. There are no gestational limits, and abortion clinics are not required to undergo any inspections or any licensing process. It’s a human trafficker’s dream. And, when other women come in from surrounding states, unaware of the injuries piling up at these unregulated clinics, they are just left to enter at their own risk.”
In 2025, 18-year-old Lexi Arguello died following a botched abortion at the Fort Collins Planned Parenthood. Arguello visited the abortion business when she was 22 weeks pregnant. Arguello died of an amniotic fluid embolism (AFE), a known complication of abortion. Because of the AFE, she developed disseminated intravascular coagulation.
According to Dr. Keri Kasun, who testified during an investigation into Arguello's death, the Planned Parenthood facility delayed her transfer to the hospital by instructing emergency responders to turn off lights and sirens — a tactic often used by the abortion industry so as not to attract attention to the injuries that are occurring behind closed doors.
Arguello's death isn't the only instance of injury; Operation Rescue has reported at least 10 other injuries at this facility, all within the past year.
Despite the numerous abortion injuries — and even death — Colorado lawmakers have done little to protect women from dangerous abortion businesses, as they are not required to be licensed or undergo safety inspections.
“Colorado abortion radicals holding public office may be determined to ignore these incidents and leave the public to fall victim to dangerous, unregulated abortion operations,” said Newman, “but Operation Rescue and a growing coalition of pro-life organizations and leaders within the state will not be silent."
