Planned Parenthood launches six-figure Clinton ad campaign in Iowa
Just ahead of today’s caucus, Planned Parenthood launched an ad campaign supporting Hillary Clinton in Iowa. The ad campaign – which costs six figures – includes two 30-second television ads, as well as homepage takeovers for two large Iowa newspapers.
The ads highlight Planned Parenthood’s endorsement of Clinton as their chosen candidate for president. With recent polls showing Clinton and Democratic rival Bernie Sanders running very close in Iowa, Planned Parenthood is spending whatever it takes to ensure Clinton wins.
“Hillary Clinton is someone who won’t back down from this fight — she’s made it clear that fighting for women’s health and reproductive rights is a top priority,” Deirdre Schifeling, executive director of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, said in a statement. “At the end of the day, she’s the one we trust to go head to head with the extreme antiabortion politicians hell-bent on rolling back the progress we’ve made for women.”

Clinton’s history of “fighting for women’s health” includes opposing any federal abortion limit (even limits on late-term abortions), and classifying pro-lifers as terrorists, even though a majority of Americans disagree with Clinton on late-term abortions.
Unfortunately, Sanders is no more pro-life than Clinton. His website states that the government should not regulate abortion and that he intends to “expand” Planned Parenthood. Still, Planned Parenthood remains firmly on the side of Clinton. According to The Washington Post, Planned Parenthood Action Fund intends to spend $20 million this election cycle.
