Planned Parenthood health care services declined in 2014, while taxpayer funding increased
Planned Parenthood has long touted itself as the leader and advocate for women’s health, claiming that millions of women would lose access to basic health care services should the group’s taxpayer funding see elimination.
However, Planned Parenthood’s 2014 annual report, released Monday, confirms that the group’s health services are on the decline, while its taxpayer funding increased nearly 5 percent.
The report shows Planned Parenthood dropped from 10,590,433 services in 2013 to 9,455,582 total services in 2014, and saw a decline from 2.7 million patients in 2013-14 to a reported 2.5 million the following year.
Last year, Planned Parenthood performed 935,573 total services in the “Cancer Screening and Prevention”category, which includes pap tests and breast exams. This year’s report shows 682,208 total services.

Prenatal services, which are categorized under “Other Women’s Health Services,” also are on the decline. Such services dropped from 18,684 to 17,419 services.

There may be one small sign of hope in the increase of adoption referrals. Last year, Planned Parenthood made 1,880 referrals, a number which increased to 2,024 referrals.
Make no mistake though, Planned Parenthood is still very much so an active abortion giant. With 323,999 of them, there were over 160 times more abortions as adoption referrals in 2014.
American taxpayers, whether they support Planned Parenthood or not, ought to question why their money funds an organization decreasing in services, while increasing in scandal and controversies.
A comparison of the number of other kinds of services from the two most recent annual reports can be found below.

2013-2014: 4,470,597 total services.
