Idaho voters express their views on Proposition One
Live Action took to the streets in Idaho to ask people whether or not they will support Proposition 1, an upcoming state ballot measure seeking to establish a 'right' to abortion. If it passes, the measure would likely undo all of the state's pro-life protections.
Idaho voters will vote on Proposition 1, a measure that seeks to make abortion a "right."
Live Action took to the streets of Idaho to ask voters their opinion on the measure.
Some expressed support for abortion, while others said they oppose the measure because abortion is murder.
Idaho law currently protects nearly all preborn children from abortion. Proposition 1, the "Reproductive Freedom and Privacy Act," seeks to undo those protections.
If it passes, the measure would establish abortion as a "right," restrict the state's ability to enact abortion regulations, and allow abortion through all nine months of pregnancy.

A Live Action interviewer asked Idaho residents whether or not they will vote for Proposition 1 when the measure is put before voters on November 3.
The responses were varied. One man contended that abortion should be legal because outlawing it is "government control." He also countered that late-term abortions "just don't happen" — a claim that is patently false.

However, another responder said that she would be voting 'no' on the proposition, explaining that she had once been pro-choice, but eventually changed her mind.
"All abortion is murder," she said, noting that during an abortion, a baby dies. "Abortion is not an undo button," she said. "These children are our future...we've murdered our future."
Another woman posited that the state's current preborn protections have benefitted women, noting that Idaho's maternal mortality rate has gone down every year.
"I believe that abortion is very dangerous for women, especially when we're talking about all of the mail-order abortions or not having an ultrasound requirement," she said.
A mother of five also expressed her opposition to abortion.
"In my opinion, abortion is murder," she said. "And we regulate murder, we have laws against murder...I disagree that a woman should have a right to kill her baby."
Abortion is the direct and intentional taking of a human life, and can never be considered a "right." Idaho voters should vote "no" to ensure that preborn children are protected.
